The faces behind Sunshine Barossa ☀️

If you haven’t visited North St. Studios before, this is our Sunshine Barossa studio, the space where you’ll find our handcrafted leather pieces, clothing, accessories, and of course, some of Jason’s artwork and jewellery woven throughout.

This photo is the Sunshine Barossa team (minus Jason): me, Eloise and Theo.

I honestly adore having these two as such a big part of this journey. Watching them grow, learn, create, and become such an important part of the studio has been incredibly special.

Alongside our other kids who help behind the scenes, Sunshine Barossa has always been a family affair. It’s not just about the things we make, but the people, creativity, and stories that happen around them.

So grateful for the little team that helps bring this place to life.

A bag with a story of its own ☀️

Jason and I were chatting about his Leather Sling Chest Bag because this one really has been everywhere with him.

Travel, everyday adventures, the studio, and everything in between… this bag has been used, loved, and honestly not always looked after as carefully as it probably should be… but that’s the beauty of good leather.

Over time it has developed the most beautiful patina, with every mark and change adding to its story. It’s proof that leather isn’t meant to stay perfect; it’s meant to be lived with.

It’s the perfect travel companion with a secure, comfortable design, but it’s just as good for everyday use. Practical, versatile, and designed for anyone - men or women.

Let’s talk about our Leather Aprons ☀️

With Father’s Day just around the corner, these make such a beautiful gift for someone who loves creating, cooking, gardening, working with their hands, or simply appreciates something made to last.

We had the whole team chatting about our aprons because they really are pieces we all love. The leather softens beautifully over time, the colours develop their own character, and they’re so versatile.

Made from beautiful buffalo or cow hides and designed to be worn and enjoyed for years, these are one of those pieces that only gets better with age.

Two new one-of-a-kind Slouch Bags ☀️

Eloise and I are absolutely in love with these two, both so unique in their own way and a beautiful example of letting the leather tell the story.

SOLD -The Fragmented Waxed Slouch Bag is crafted from warm vintage brown waxed leather, with a deconstructed flap that has been carefully reworked and stitched back together, creating a beautiful patchwork effect. Even the natural imperfection in the leather has been transformed into a hand-stitched feature, making this bag completely unique.

The Vintage Moss Slouch Bag is a gorgeous moss green leather, soft and vintage-inspired, with a raw flap, brass hardware, adjustable strap and two internal pockets. A beautiful balance of luxurious and casual.

Spending a little time out the back of the studio lately ☀️

Now that the back studio has been extended, we really love working out here. A space full of creativity, colour, and everything that keeps us inspired.

It’s a collection of ideas, making, and a lot of heart, and I honestly feel so lucky to have a space where passion and creativity can come together every day.
