Welcome to the third ‘Sock of the Week’ for 2024. This week it’s all about thick and cosy, perfect for boots socks. The “Thicksgiving Cables” socks are from the “Thicksgiving Socks” collection from .lee.knits. For this pair I’ll be using a Bendigo Woollen Mills (BWM) 5ply variegated/speckled yarn - from memory it came from their ‘back room’ and is unlabelled so I’m not too sure of the specific composition, and it will be knit held double with an undyed sock yarn/stellina (gives it a subtle touch of bling). If I have enough quantity of the BWM yarn then there won’t be a contrast yarn as in the pattern pics, but, as this yarn is unlabelled, I may be playing a bit of yarn chicken (nothing like living on the edge)so plan B would be to introduce a contrast colour for the toes. So, if you would love these socks to grace your own sock drawer, or perhaps you would like to gift them to someone, then DM me and we can chat all things sizing (some restrictions may apply but we can chat about that) and prices. Cut off for ordering these socks will be Wednesday 15/5 unless sold prior. Be quick! Only one pair available.

Excuse me while I swoon over this blanket. It was a labour of love as well as a learning experience 🤔a marathon and not a sprint. But, there is so much love in every stitch and quite a few tears as well. I hope she knows how much she is loved by us.

Easter 2024. To those who came, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Love and laughter filled this house and I will treasure that. To those unable to be here, I hope you know how much you are loved and how much you were missed. 🩷🐰🐣🍫

February. A short month but a decent number of projects were completed nonetheless. I know, I know, there appears to be a pair of socks still on the needles, but I’m about ten rows away from completion so I’m counting that as a finished project 🤷🏼‍♀️As you can see, that pattern from .lee.knits is the star of the show, and I’m here to tell you, that that trend WILL continue. Seriously, I can’t get enough of it.

Production for A/W 2024 is in full swing. Where Spring and Summer were all about the lace, this season is all about textured stitches and cables, with a few hard working Vanilla options thrown into the mix. A few of these projects will be making their way to early next week, with others heading there a little later when Autumn really starts to show her face.

1. My January and February projects have included socks and beanies (see note above in regards to the textured stitches and cables) and currently on the needles is a cute little vest situation which will bring a pop of colour and a cosy layer to an Autumn/Winter outfit.
2. My obsession with all things and .lee.knits well and truly continues. Can’t stop, won’t stop.
