Granny Fi's Toy Cupboard is a family run business. The whole family is involved from the kids to the grandparents. Our toys are one-of-a-kind creations. Handmade by Granny Fi, The Dragon Lady and Mr Mandrake Man, each one has its own personality. We love what we do and spend hours each day creating toys and mess (they go hand-in-hand). We do not test on animals! All of our toys have to pass rigorous testing by the ones who know most about these things - the grandchildren!

Heirlooms not landfill!
I've spent this week catching up on some incredibly overdue repairs. For those who don't know, we offer FREE repairs on all the toys that we make and occasionally take urgent repairs on toys that we haven't made. The only catch is that you have to wait until I have time... which we all know doesn't happen often.
I must say, that I'm feeling a bit like a miracle worker seeing the after photos of these guys!

Spring has sprung, the grass is ris,
You don't have to wonder where we is...
Because we've just renewed our lease! We're here for the foreseeable future (except for going to events!).
Is it wise? Who knows! Is it what I want? YES!
We've been in this spot for over 6 years now and despite everything, I'm not ready to give up yet!

Not really, these lovely people are from Arts North West doing interviews about why events like When Main Streets Dream (the light show we had in the Mall a couple of weeks ago) are important to regional towns. It was very interesting having to come up with answers and not say 'um' too many times!

Here are two love birds that came to visit recently and two that are headed off to Boonah in the morning! We're officially there for the Southern Realm Festival , but I *think* we have a wedding anniversary on either Saturday or Sunday (we can never remember, Facebook tells us! 😂).
So, the shop is closed until next week! Hopefully reopening on Tuesday or Wednesday depending on how tired I am and how much I feel like working on my birthday!

The other day I had some lovely students from ASC come into the shop. We had a good chat and they asked what the most expensive thing was (our life sized goblin!) and then our cheapest (3 tiny ladybugs for 10 cents). When they tried to pay for their ladybugs on eftpos, I waved the card away and told them to tell their friends about us and follow us here instead of payment (which they did!).
Yesterday, two of them came back and gave me these gorgeous little flowers they'd crocheted for me, as payment for the ladybugs! ❤️

Do you think they'll mark me down as 'other' in the census? It does say to tell the truth... 😂
