We're so excited to welcome the Barney Street Band to the Jolly Good Emporium! 🎶🎩

What a fabulous way to kick off the Creative Streets Festival on Saturday, 17th October!

We'll be celebrating from 4 pm to 9 pm, with great music, plenty of atmosphere and a few surprises of our own — including the unveiling of our brand-new shopfront display at 4 pm!

Come along, join the festivities and have a jolly good time! We can't wait! 💚✨

📰 **BREAKING NEWS FROM THE JOLLY GOOD EMPORIUM!** 🎩🐸

**NO, WE’RE NOT SELLING NEWSPAPERS!**

**NO, WE’RE NOT CLOSING DOWN!**

And no, Mr Good hasn't completely lost the plot… well, not quite! 😂

You may have noticed that half our shopfront windows have mysteriously disappeared behind sheets of newspaper.

Rest assured, there's a very good reason!

Behind those newspaper-covered windows, we've been busy working on something rather special — a brand-new, wonderfully eccentric **Jolly Good Emporium shopfront display!**

And we're keeping it all under wraps until the grand unveiling!

🎭 **SATURDAY 17 OCTOBER — 4 PM**

✨ **CREATIVE STREETS FESTIVAL** ✨

That's when all will be revealed, as we unveil our latest creation to celebrate the festival's kickoff!

Until then, you'll just have to wonder what's going on behind those windows. 👀

**And don't worry — we're OPEN AS USUAL, seven days a week, 9 am–5 pm!**

The mysteries are multiplying, the curiosity is building, and there's never a dull moment at the Emporium!

🚨 HAS ANYONE SEEN WINNIE? 🚨

We’re very sad to report that Winnie the Pooh was stolen from outside Jolly Good Emporium this afternoon.

A group of young people were seen running off with him down the East Mall, and he was later reportedly spotted near the park. We searched the area but unfortunately couldn’t find him.

The matter has been reported to Armidale Police.

Winnie isn’t just something we had for sale. He’s become a bit of a character at the Emporium — sitting out the front, making people smile, posing for photos and generally being part of the madness that is Jolly Good.

We’d really just like him back.

If you’ve seen Winnie this afternoon, know where he might be, or happen to see an enormous yellow bear wandering around Armidale looking rather lost, please send us a private message or contact Armidale Police.

And if whoever has him happens to read this: please just bring him back. No grand speeches required. Winnie can come home and we can get on with things.

NO BLOODY ROAD! 🇩🇪🪗🎺
We may have got a little carried away with this one…
When the proposal came along to put a road through our beloved Beardy Street Mall, Mr Good and Mr Jolly did what responsible businessmen should do: we read the plans, considered the arguments and made a lengthy, sensible submission to Council.
That was then.
This is our less sensible submission. 😂
We’ve turned the whole saga into a ridiculous German theatrical cabaret — complete with pompous bureaucrats, accordion, booming tuba, PowerPoints, roadworks, a ceramic duck and two antique dealers becoming increasingly agitated.
Beneath all the silliness, though, we really do love our Mall. We want it full of people, music, markets, trees, conversation, businesses and life.
Revitalise it. Beautify it. Celebrate it.
Just don’t put a bloody road through it.

Turn it up and enjoy. 😂

🎩🐸 DON’T JUST STAND THERE — COME INSIDE! 🎶⚡

Well… things have escalated.

What started as a little experiment creating our own music for Jolly Good Emporium has somehow turned into…

JOLLY GOOD — THE MUSICAL. 😂

And this may be our most gloriously ridiculous creation yet.

There are frogs in top hats.
Clocks that don't tick.
Things we can't identify.
Uranium glass.
Blue and white.
Mr Good. Mr Jolly.
Far too many cabinets.

And, naturally, somebody who walks in for a teacup and somehow leaves with a chair.

But underneath all the madness is something we genuinely believe:

❤️ The old, the broken, the strange and the forgotten still have stories worth hearing.

So turn it up.

Leave your good sense at the door.

And whatever you do…

Well… this was bound to happen eventually.

Spend long enough surrounded by curious objects, strange contraptions and the occasional frog at Jolly Good Emporium, and apparently the transformation becomes permanent.

One moment: respectable antique dealer, curator of curiosity and gentleman of questionable restraint.

15 seconds later… FROG. 🐸🤣

I’m blaming the Emporium. Or Jolly. Possibly both.

Beardy Street Mall is alive tonight! ✨

A wonderful night of interactive experiences, art installations, light projections and plenty of people out enjoying the Mall.

A huge thank you to Arts North West for bringing so much colour, creativity and life into the heart of Armidale. This is exactly what our Mall is made for — people, art, imagination and a bit of magic after dark. ❤️

A special thank you to Phil Foley for the fantastic photograph of our shopfront — it looks rather spectacular all lit up! 📸🎩

And a big thank you to Jolly and Lee for keeping the doors open tonight and welcoming everyone through the Emporium. ❤️

We absolutely love seeing Beardy Street buzzing like this.
