A sneak peek at the historic resources I'll be using for my Flourished French Copperplate course starting 27th July! There's only 5 spots left so book now if you want to nab a place!
Most of these are from the 17-19th century and the diversity of flourishes and different ideas you can get are limitless! You're only as good as the resources you have so this course is heavy on the historic writing manuals I've learnt from.

Summer Hill has a new bookshop with The Rose Read Bookshop !! This is just around the corner from where I live so not quite safe for my wallet lol. These pics were taken 20 mins after they had just opened on day 1 and before half the community came by to have a look! So so happy the neighbourhood finally has a bookshop and I wish them all the best!!

Last night I attended the Volunteer Awards Night and received an award for my work on Calligraphy Club!! Calligraphy club is a monthly club that's free to attend at . I've been running it since October last year and it's so great to see so many people enjoy trying out calligraphy!
I didn't realise the awards night would be a big deal - the mayor turned up (this is my local council)! And Antony Green (who I didn't know was an inner west resident) got the award for citizen of the year! Iconic!
