Behind these photos are three women who wear many hats. We’re mothers, business owners, partners, creatives and somewhere amongst the school runs, endless to do lists, family commitments and running our businesses, we’re also women who absolutely LOVE what we do.

And while our creativity looks completely different, that’s exactly what makes this collaboration so special.

💐 Marama Flax Creations brings her love of florals, harakeke and creating beautiful things with our hands.

🫖 Jemma Louise - Cakes & Vintage Hire brings her gorgeous high tea experience, beautiful presentation and delicious treats that make any gathering feel special.

📸 All About Pout Photography brings her creative eye, capturing women in moments they don’t often get to see themselves in.

Three different passions, coming together to create something we couldn’t do quite the same on our own and that’s how our Spring Bottomless High Tea & Floral Experience came to life!

An afternoon where YOU get to be on the receiving end for a change. No organising, no hosting, no worrying about everyone else. Just turn up, get creative, enjoy beautiful food, have a laugh and make some memories.

Have you ever looked back at something you started and thought, wow, look how far we’ve come? 🌱

Sometimes I forget there was a time when Marama Flax Creations was just an idea, something I wanted to give a go, not knowing where it would take me.

There have been plenty of lessons along the way. Things that worked, things that didn’t, moments of questioning myself and plenty of figuring things out as I go.

But one thing that hasn’t changed is why I started. To create something meaningful, share a little of who I am, where I come from and bring people together along the way.

Somewhere amongst all of that, we’ve created more than just a little business. We’ve met some beautiful people, shared stories, made friendships and built a space that continues to grow with us.

It’s easy to get caught up in what’s next and forget to acknowledge what’s already behind us.

So here’s a little reminder, not just for me but for anyone building something of their own. Don’t forget to look back every now and then. There’s probably a whole lot you’ve already achieved that you haven’t given yourself credit for.

Apparently there’s some bloody big catches coming out of Lakes Entrance lately… so I thought I’d show off mine! 🌱

No boat, no fishing rod, just a little creativity… and a catch worth showing off!

While everyone’s out chasing tuna, we’re over here catching a different kind of beauty! Handmade, woven with harakeke and filled with beautiful dried florals and the best part? This catch will last a whole lot longer than tonight’s dinner!

Our little shop is OPEN today and tomorrow, 9am–3pm, with plenty of beautiful catches waiting for their forever homes.

A little something festive is coming to Marama Flax Creations!

We’re getting ready to bring back our Christmas Wreath Making Workshops and ohhhh, we’re excited for these ones!

Think beautiful textures, a little creativity, good company and a couple of hours getting into the festive spirit while creating your very own wreath to take home!

We’ll be releasing our workshop dates NEXT WEEK, but before we lock everything in, we thought we’d ask our beautiful flax community first…

Petals & Prams | Mums & Bubs Today!

Māmā, we’re back on this morning for our weekly Petals & Prams at Marama Flax Creations.

A relaxed little morning for our māmā and pēpi to get out of the home, meet other mums, enjoy some adult conversations and get creative with our beautiful dried and preserved florals.

Each week we create a different mini floral arrangement for you to take home. No experience needed, all materials provided and of course, the cuppas are on us!

Come as you are, bubs, prams, feeding breaks, crying babies and unfinished conversations are all welcome here.

Every Tuesday | 10:30am–12pm
$25 per mama…includes your floral creation, materials and cuppa.

Who says you need a special occasion to give someone flowers? 🌱

Sometimes it’s the unexpected little gestures that mean the most. A bunch of flowers on the kitchen bench, a surprise for someone who’s had a big week, or simply bringing a little colour into your own whare.

We’ve brought home some of our beautiful Wild & Woven Bouquets from our weekend at Lardner Park Garden & Home Expo and rather than letting these beauties go to waste, we’d love to see them find their way into your homes.

Each bouquet is a little different, bringing together native florals, beautiful textures and our handmade harakeke weaving. No two are quite the same.

So for Tuesday and Wednesday only, we’re offering a special discount on our remaining Wild & Woven Bouquets. 💐

Our very first expo, flax tribe! 🌿

From our little studio in Bairnsdale to Lardner Park Garden & Home Expo! A whole lot of late nights, early mornings, plenty of laughs and a few chaotic moments getting here hahaha!

We’ve brought along our handmade harakeke florals, bouquets, wreaths, unique creations and creative workshops for both adults and tamariki.

A big mihi to everyone who’s helped bring this little expo dream to life. Couldn’t have done it without our village!

Lardner Park Garden & Home Expo, we’re ready for you! 🌿

We’re all set up for our very first Garden & Home Expo at Lardner Park this weekend and we’re pretty excited to welcome you into our little space!

We’ve brought along a beautiful collection of handmade creations, from floral vase arrangements and bouquets to our one of a kind gifts. A little something for everyone, all created with plenty of aroha and a whole lot of mahi behind the scenes.

But we’re not just here to showcase our creations… We’re bringing the creative experiences too!

🌿 Putiputi Weaving Workshops – Come and learn to weave your very own harakeke flower.

🧚‍♀️ Kids Fairy Garden Workshops – A little hands on creativity and magic for our younger makers!

Workshops will be available throughout the weekend, with bookings taken directly at our site. Limited spaces available, so come see us early!

We’ve also been invited to share a Dried Flower Arranging Demonstration as part of the official Expo program!

Some friendships deserve to have their moments celebrated. All of them. 🌱

This custom piece was created from one friend to another, celebrating a few special things happening in her world. Because sometimes there isn’t just one reason to say I’m proud of you…. there are a whole bunch of little wins, big moments and chapters worth acknowledging.

Soft, timeless florals with harakeke woven through the heart of it, handmade right here in our little studio. Every stem placed with intention, knowing this wasn’t simply a floral arrangement… it was one friend taking the time to celebrate another.

And I reckon we need more of that. Celebrating our people while they’re right here beside us. Making a fuss. Saying the words. Showing them we see what they’re doing and how far they’ve come.

Friends celebrating friends. Their wins, their chapters, their moments. That’s the good stuff.
