I have been overwhelmed by the amazing souls that have come to say goodbye to the Lair these past two weeks? From experienced practitioners of many paths, to those just feeling their way into who they are…to a lovely lady who walked through my doors on day one, and revisited many times these past 3 years, who felt their need to be there for her last day to say goodbye… to the Mother and Daughter who drove over 3 hours just to come say goodbye.. this is the reason the Lair became who she was, she was all I ever envisioned, but sadly never got to reach her true potential as I knew she could.
Lilith will be leaving the shop this week and coming with me to my new home, a well earned rest for her, and I believe once she leaves that space the essence-spirit of the Lair of the Phoenix will be gone.. but I still have so much stock left? So this week.. Saturday 24th, Fred and I decided to have a ‘Pick the bones of the Phoenix’ sale.. everything must go..so 50% is off everything… we still have so many books,incense,herbs,splatters of decks,ornaments etc.. so if you missed out on anything you would have loved to buy, pop back in and pick it up.. opening hours will be strictly 1o -2 only so be early to pick up a bargain… 💙

It was a bitter sweet day yesterday, saying goodbye to many many people who have become part of my spiritual journey… a few tears were shed… and I know for many it’s hard to be saying goodbye to The Lair of the Phoenix.. for me it’s heartbreaking… but… it is happening… so just a gentle reminder that Saturday the 17th will be our last day… so if you haven’t already come in and picked up some bargains.. this will be your last call to do so..

Happy New Year to all who have ever supported The Lair of the Phoenix…
This post has taken me much heartbreak to try and compose and many, many tears have been shed these past months to finally get to this point, so please forgive me if this post gets a little sad, because as I said it is breaking my heart just to write this, but here we go…
9 years ago the Lair was born in my heart and mind…she began small at first, markets, late nights creating, until finally on the 23rd of December 2022 we opened the doors in our current location. It has never been easy, we have battled on many fronts over these past 3 years, and somehow she always gave me the strength to keep going, but now the battle has become too heavy for me to continue.
The Lair will be open on Saturday the 10th of January trading for one day only with a huge 25% of everything in store… this will then be followed up with a final day of trading on Saturday the 17th of January. And then she will be laid to rest.
There are no words to thank the wonderful people who have worked with me in the Lair these past 3 years, and I will forever be grateful to Fred who has held her together this past year and more, and who will be at the stern as she sails into her final harbour in the coming weeks…
Being the custodian of The Lair of the Phoenix has been one of my greatest achievements and honour, one that will remain with me for the rest of my life…

It’s always fun to “try” and do the front windows with cats in the shop. Miss Shadow, who was once the most timid of my girls, has now become The Queen of the Lair
I love watching her embrace her new role, and the pleasure she brings to those that visit us. With all these distractions one wonders how I get any thing done … my life is blessed..

Due to the Medieval Carnival here in Balingup this coming weekend, the Lair of the Phoenix will be closed Thursday and Friday. BUT definitely OPEN from 10-4 Saturday and Sunday. Pop in and say hello to the Master of the Lair “Fred” and two of the Lairs original “Aunties” Von and Kathy as we all navigate what traditionally has always been a chaotic weekend.
Due to incorrect advertising on the BMC page stalls listing, The Lair of the Phoenix will NOT be at the Carnival grounds.
