Sooo... The Burns Unit has booked me in for a skin graft on Monday, so I'll be making another trip to Melbourne for the week.
This means our trading hours are going to be a little... erm..flexible ?!? While skin from somewhere else settles into its new neighbourhood on my hand.

And before anyone asks... NO, the skin will NOT be coming from my bum. I've made the Burns Unit pinky promise I won't end up with a bum hand, because I feel like "Ice cream scooped by a bum hand" isn't quite the marketing slogan The Good Ship Lollipop is going for. 😂

In the meantime, the absolute legend that is Glenny will be jumping in whenever he can to sling scoops, cook your favourite hot treats, and generally keep the ship afloat while I'm temporarily out of action.

Unfortunately, that does mean there'll be a few days here and there where the doors stay shut, so we sincerelt apologise in advance if you pop in for your lollies, ice cream or hot chip fix and we're closed. We'll be doing our absolute best to open whenever we can, and we'll keep our page updated with any changes along the way.

This whole thing totally wasn't on my 2026 bingo card, but I'm already counting down the days until I'm back behind the counter scooping ice cream, cookings treats and catching up with all of you.

Thank you all so much for the kind messages, laughs, and well wishes over the past week. They've genuinely made this whole whoopsie a lot easier to deal with.

Well... this wasn't on my bingo card for this week.. or ever?!

Turns out I had a bit of a whoopsie earlier this week and managed to burn my hand fairly seriously. Until I've had a visit to the Burns Unit at The Alfred in Melbourne, I'm officially benched.

Throw in a couple of sick staff members and, unfortunately, it means The Good Ship Lollipop won't be able open today.

I'm super sorry to anyone who was planning to stop by.
Hoping to be back to normal operating hours as soon as possible...

🍭 Small Hours Update 🍭

Open today: 2.30pm - 5pm

Closed tomorrow: Friday

Reason: Our eldest Lil Miss Lollipop is somehow entering her Double Digit Era?!?

We’re not entirely sure how this happened, because there is absolutely no way WE are 10 years older than the day she was born... Right?!

The timeline simply isn’t timelining.

Anyway, we’re taking the day off to celebrate the occasion and will be back to normal trading hours from Saturday.

If you were planning on stocking up on weekend sweets tomorrow, TODAY is probably your best bet.
