The weather is perfect. Clunes Booktown Festival is starting, and the Ballarat Book Trail is launching. What more could you ask for, book lovers?

Lots of special treats on offer this weekend to celebrate the launch of Ballarat Book Trail. We've been saving some special books just for this event. There will also be bargain discount tables, cute shop dogs, comfy chairs and friendly smiles.

And of course, thousands of curated quality secondhand books at very reasonable prices.

You open up on a Sunday to sell a few books and suddenly Royal Australian Navy is marching past! Congratulations to HMAS Ballarat on receiving Freedom of Entry to the city today.

With the navy in town, we may even stay open a little later. 😃
