New mugs in the late afternoon light. I'm very pleased with how this firing went.

I'm back at Ballarat Farmers Market this Saturday, in the South Pavilion of the new Ballarat Showgrounds. Looks like being perfect weather for an indoor market.

Preheat today, ahead of a bisque firing. I nearly always run a preheat program to make sure my pots are properly dry and won't blow up in the bisque firing. It's especially important in cold, damp conditions. My programs are listed next to the kiln controller and I always flick through the program to make sure I have selected the right one before hitting the start button.

I'm a late scratching from tomorrow's Ballarat Farmers Market due to a cold that just won't leave and a cough to match....

I'm a late scratching from tomorrow's Ballarat Farmers Market due to a cold that just won't leave and a cough to match. Very over it, but the last thing I want to do is make it worse.
I'll catch you at my next market on August 8th, which will be under cover at the new Ballarat Showgrounds. Hopefully I'll have some new stock ready by then.
