🌟 JOB OPPORTUNITY: Op Shop Manager wanted! 🌟
Adra Op Shop Ballina is on the hunt for a new Op Shop Manager to join our crew! 🙌
This is a hands-on volunteer role where you'll be running the day-to-day of the shop — keeping things ticking along smoothly, supporting our awesome team of volunteers, and helping build connections with the local Ballina community.
What you'll be doing:
🛍️ Overseeing daily shop operations & presentation
👥 Recruiting, training & supporting volunteers
📋 Keeping records and reports in order
💰 Managing the shop's budget responsibly
🤝 Building relationships with customers, donors & the local community
What we're looking for:
✅ Some experience leading or managing a team (paid or volunteer)
✅ Good organisational & admin skills (comfortable with Excel/Word)
✅ Strong people skills — friendly, patient, a good communicator
✅ A bit of retail know-how is a bonus (stock, presentation, sales)
✅ Must have the legal right to live & work in Australia
✅ Happy to work within ADRA's Christian ethos and values
Good to know:
📍 Location: Ballina, NSW
⏳ Commitment: Regular, ongoing (6+ months ideally)
🪪 A National Police Check & Working with Children Check will be required
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves community, retail, and making a real difference locally — all while supporting ADRA's mission to help people in need. 💛

A very generous collector has just donated an enormous collection of treasures to our store... and we're only just starting to unpack it!
Boxes and boxes filled with vintage pieces, books, homewares, baskets, artwork, collectibles, unique curiosities and who knows what else are waiting to be discovered. Some items haven't even seen the light of day yet!
