This week The Hanging Garden has a plant listed on eBay as "Pick up only". There wasn't a choice. The plant has approximately 20 spikes and a spread of well over one metre. Watch out for more like these as the "keeper" collection gets a major cull. Some will be going to the Melbourne Orchid Spectacular at the end of the month.

The "Peter Keepers" keep coming. Peter is currently offering his Dendrobium fuliginosum on eBay (auction ending June 21). This is a specimen sized plant which he has grown under shade cloth for around 30 years. It's coped with conditions ranging from white frost to low 40 degree days.

Please keep watching eBay for special plants from Peter's collection. Currently a beautiful example of hybrid Dendrobium Hsinying Glomo = mohlianum X glomeratum is being offered - auction ends June 14. This plant has been growing in an unheated "laserlite" plant house where temperatures approach zero in winter and can get to 40 degrees in summer.

The Hanging Garden webpage has been shut down but there is still a great collection of orchids available for sale. Throughout this year the "Peter keeper" collection will be greatly reduced so watch out for high quality and often, specimen sized, plants becoming available.

The nursery is located at 61 Coolart Road, Balnarring, Victoria. It's important to ring on 03 5983 5431 before visiting to ensure Peter is available to assist you.

We are pleased to present our greatest ever selection of flowering plants for sale at the 2025 OSCOV Victorian Orchid Spectacular. Unflowered seedlings, stag horn ferns and elk horn ferns are also available. The tree fern mounts at the show are the very last available from THG.

The show will be open at KCC Park (655 Westernport Highway, Skye, Victoria) on August 29, 30 and 31 from 9 am to 4 pm each day.

Soft brown tree fern has been our preferred mount for many years and provides the home for many thriving specimen plants. The last pieces of base have almost all been cut and the opportunity to buy mounts will come to an end as the year progresses.
