The Boss has made a decision!
(So far, he’s invented Pizza Oven Fridays and incredible fountain clearances - so we always listen to his big ideas!! ☺️🙌)

Because we have been so flat out serving so many of our wonderful customers over the last few weeks, we haven’t had time to plant out the dahlia tubers.

So, Andrew is turning them in to a $10 tuber sale! 😮

If you wanted to try planting out some incredibly low maintenance flowers, starting a flower garden or just having beautiful blooms to cut for home, you can’t beat a $10 price tag.

We told you there would have to be two posts this week - but when you see these stunning clematis, you’ll understand why!

Hand sized stunning purple flowers, soft pinks, whites and just bucket loads of them - come in and have a look for yourself at these climbers. They like cool roots and warm vines. Perfect for a good garden spot! 🤩

Hydrangea are also in. Looking lush and green and in all colours. Blue always sells out quickly, so get in as soon as you can! 💙

We have stunning weeping Japanese maple trees - perfect for a feature pot or in the garden. They’re so sculptural and “floofy” right now with their little fresh leaves! 😍

New salvia, garden art, asparagus, dogwood, water lily and so much more.

We have some sweet little baby lizards around the place. A cute little head popped out to watch us unload the fresh stock yesterday - even he was impressed with the new stock! 😂😉

Get to Churches this weekend. It’s worth it just to see everything in bloom and looking spectacular. 🙌

These pictures were taken yesterday on our Fresh Pick Friday, but we were so busy with a crazy number of customers that we didn’t get to post until after that beautiful downpour this morning! 😂🙌

The rain has given everything a glow up and made the ground super soft and damp for planting - is that Mother Nature saying you should come in and see us? We think so.

One of our customers yesterday was from our local area and had only just discovered us. Even after 60 years in business, we are still Bathurst’s best kept secret. 😉Maybe you should tell your neighbours and friends about us, then take the credit for their gardening obsession?! 😂

While the V8s rumble the mount, it’s still quiet in Seymour Street and you can sneak in for some of the incredible plants we got in yesterday!

Jazzberry Super Petunias are in, with a donation from each SUPER Petunia from that series going to the McGrath foundation. So you can plant something, feel good about yourself and do something for someone who needs it! ☺️

We are going to have to do a second post today cause there was too many new plants to fit in this carousel - again!

Once again our Fresh Stock Friday has easily exceeded the 20 photo carousel limit! 😳

We’ve unpacked trolley loads of fresh stock today and have had to resort to putting trays of flowers and veggie seedlings on the ground!!!

Reasons you should come in:
-There are seedlings for every vegetable and flower you can possibly think of
- All the trees are in blossom, there are pink and white blooms all over the place
- Our stunning cherry out the front is looking magnificent with the poppies underneath
- New pots arrived in even more colours
- People’s plant favourites like hydrangea, portulaca, convolvulous, fushia and clematis are in
- The water lily’s are ready to go
- Alstroemeria or Princess Lilies are in as well
- We are shut Monday, so you need to come in over the weekend to plant after this little bit of much needed rain
- This little bit of rain will make the ground soft for digging

Take our word for it and come in and look around at the incredible amount of beautiful healthy plants we have ready for your garden!!!

We are taking a much needed day off for long weekend Monday… so make sure you pop in on Saturday or Sunday to get everything you need for planting on your day off (well, that’s our staff’s idea of a day off well spent 😂).

We feel like we’ve seen most of Bathurst over the past few weeks and we are unloading trolleys of fresh stock right now! Springtime is so exciting! ☺️🌸

So stay home and plant on Monday - we will be! 😉

It’s not you, it’s your potting mix!

We rave about our Searles Platinum because we know it works. Not just “keeps your plants alive”, but actively helps them grow, flower and fruit in abundance.

These pansies were all planted from the same punnet, same day, same conditions and same watering.

While the cheaper option hasn’t died, it has remained smaller with less blooms. It will probably die first as it doesn’t have the larger root system to keep it healthy in the soil.

The mid range bag has enough of everything to keep the plant growing - adding size and more flowers over the time. You’d be content if you saw this amount of growth, and most people think that’s normal.

Then there’s the platinum. It takes the plant to its biggest and best capacity. (Cocko even ate a few blooms off this one before he was not-so-gently reminded to not eat the plants!) LOTS of flowering, emerald green leaves and 4 times the size! It is happy and healthy and still growing strong!

This is all we use. In the display pots in the nursery, in our own homes and gardens, in veggie season, in indoors - basically anything in a container will love Platinum.

Come see us, we’ll be happy to talk to you about it and the difference it makes. We are all Platinum fans.

Well, that Fresh Stock Friday was one of our biggest!!! 💪☺️
We don’t know what a waazoo is, but apparently we have plants out of it? 😂

We unpacked so many new trays of plants, we ran out of benches and had to put them on the ground!

This is your weekend to come for a full fresh Spring experience!!! 😍

Even if it’s just to walk around and see the flowers, the buds on the plants, wander the fairy garden or just say hi to Cocko! It’s garden weather - can’t you feel it?!? 😍

LAST CALL FOR DAHLIA TUBERS!
These beautiful plants come in as packaged tubers to make them easy to purchase, plant and identify.

They need to be in the ground now to grow into these spectacular blooms for the summer! 😍

We will be potting up what we have left next week, so if you’ve ever dreamt of having a cut flower garden, or blooms of your own to bring inside - dahlias are it!!!

They are so easy care, will give you two flushes of flowers with a trim back mid season, LOVE having their blooms cut to encourage even more flowers, they’re massive and in every colour and pattern you can imagine!

Like lots of bulbs and tubers, you can leave them in the garden for them to multiply over winter, or dig them up to divide and share the love! ❤️

Don’t delay, now is the best time to grab these beauties and get ready for admiring your handy work!

FRESH STOCK FRIDAY!!! 😍

We have been so busy today, packing away trays and trays of fresh flowering beauties, we forgot there was also a massive delivery coming of veggie and flower seedlings! 🫠

Our Garden Centre looks exactly like it sounds - like a garden! Come for a wander this weekend and check out our stunning displays. We’ve had a few people today say they’ve never seen it look so lush and full - and we’ve only just begun. With safer temperatures over the next week, you can really start to get excited about planting!

Come and grab something for the garden this weekend! 🪴 Or just bring a coffee and come for a wander!

Well Spring is certainly Springing! And while we love an old saying like this - this year it is SO true! Everything looks like it’s in hyper colour.

This first photo is of a beautiful Prunus persica ‘Versicolor’ in full bloom on our street. How incredible are these striped pink blossoms! Just stunning!

And that’s pretty much what we say to ourselves as we walk around the nursery at the moment. The flowers are really on song this year and we love being able to offer you a wide range of options for your garden, and to give you something to take home and bring you joy every time you look at it.

it’s a cracker of a spring day, come down for a wander!
