NEW STOCK HAS LANDED. 🌿🌸
And there’s A LOT of it.

20 photos barely scratches the surface.
The trees are being potted up, so it’s your last chance for bare-rooted trees.
The new antique perennials are getting ready for their spring debut.
Seed potatoes are in.
Rhubarb is in.
And the peonies are sitting there patiently waiting for someone to put them in the ground. 😂

Huge shoutout to Kisha, our work experience superstar.
Quite possibly the best worker we’ve had all week. 😂👏

But honestly, the best way to see what’s new?
Come in for a wander.
Say hi to Cocko.
Have a poke around.
Find something you absolutely did NOT come in for.

We’ll see you at the nursery. 🌱

We need to have a little chat with Sophia.
She’s been ordering urns again.

And, well… she may have got a bit carried away. 😂
We’ve now got SO MANY URNS that we’re starting to wonder if she thinks Churches Garden Centre is actually an urn warehouse.

Big ones. Little ones. Tall ones. Short ones.
Every colour under the sun. Enough shapes and sizes to keep even the most enthusiastic pot potter happy.
Honestly, it’s getting a bit urn-believable.

But we’re not complaining. Because the range is absolutely brilliant, and there’s something for just about every garden, courtyard, entrance or verandah.

So pop in this weekend and have a look.

Come for a wander. Stay for the urns.
You’ll be spoilt for choice.

And Sophia? Maybe put the catalogue down for five minutes. 😂🏺

🥔 The seed potatoes have arrived!

And before you ask… yes, they sell out every year, so if you’re planning on growing your own this season, now’s the time to grab them.

Just hold off planting for a little while yet — the soil is still a bit chilly and those Bathurst frosts keep coming. (Unless you’ve got a greenhouse set up and you’re keen to get a head start 😉)

So, for now pop in, pick your varieties, and get ready for the best kind of gardening… the kind you can eat! 🤤

See you at Churches! 🙌🥔

Well... we may have accidentally bought all the wisteria. 🤷‍♀️💜

Months ago we put our order in because we refused to only have one or two varieties when everyone started asking for them.

So now we’ve got Amethyst Falls, Pale Pink Japanese, Double Japanese, Macrobotrys, Jako Chinese, Japanese Royal Purple, Chinese, American Pondside Blue and the ridiculously beautiful white Shiro Kapitan.

If you’ve been secretly planning your own little Bridgerton moment (or not-so-secretly), now’s your chance. Pergolas, arbours, verandahs... wisteria makes just about everything look fancy. Scroll for inspo! 😍

Come and have a look before everyone else has the same idea. And while you’re here, don’t forget to say hello to Cocko on your way in.

You’ll find us hidden up the long driveway in Seymour Street... Bathurst’s best-kept garden secret. 🌿💜

You know that little driveway on Seymour Street that you’ve probably driven past a hundred times?

Yep... that’s us.

If you haven’t wandered up lately, this weekend’s a pretty good excuse. We’ve had fresh stock arrive, the new garden statues are in, and the bare root trees are looking fantastic.

🍏 Fruit trees if you’re sick of supermarket prices.
🌸 Flowering trees if the front yard needs a bit of love.
🌳 Dwarf trees if you’d rather not sacrifice the whole backyard.

Bare root season doesn’t last long, and it’s the cheapest and easiest time of year to buy a tree. They’re easy to get home, easy to plant, and once they’re gone, you’ll be waiting until next winter.

And before you leave, make sure you stop and say hello to Cocko, our resident cockatoo. He’s been greeting customers longer than most of us have been gardening. 🦜 (55 years to be exact!)

Come and have a wander. No rush, no pressure... just Bathurst’s best-kept garden secret hiding up the long driveway on Seymour Street. 🌿

It wouldn’t be fair for us to sell you pizza ovens that we don’t back 100%. So how do we test this? We force the staff to socialise, laugh and stand around a fire pit and make delicious pizza. 🤷‍♀️

What a Friday! We used basic ingredients (check out our mega tomato sauce bottle) and some store bought garlic bread and whipped up the most tasty afternoon treats there ever was. A few lucky customers tried our wares and gave suggestions on what we needed to improve - probably not using a trowel to get the pizzas out of the oven… 😬😂

Still, 100% backed by the team here - these are great pizza oven fire pits. Now to convince the boss we need to try it every Friday! 😉

We are back with Tree of the Day and it’s a Magnolia ‘Star Wars’!

If you’re looking for a tree that steals the show before spring has even arrived, then meet Magnolia ‘Star Wars’.

Covered in enormous goblet-shaped blooms of soft pink and white, this deciduous magnolia flowers on bare branches, creating a breathtaking display that stops people in their tracks.

As the flowers fade, lush green foliage fills out to form a beautiful feature tree that provides structure and elegance all year round.

✨ Spectacular early spring flowering
🌿 Ideal as a feature or statement tree
🌸 Large, fragrant blooms up to 30cm across
📏 Grows to approximately 6–8m tall

Whether you’re creating a new garden or adding a timeless centrepiece, Magnolia ‘Star Wars’ is guaranteed to make an impression.

Visit Churches Garden Centre, check out all our bare root trees and see why it’s today’s pick! ☺️🙌

See you at Churches!

We’ve been so busy unloading these new stunning statues, bird baths and pots that we posted these pics without a caption by mistake!!! 😴

Still, it all works out for our customers who can wander through the nursery this weekend and look at our huge range of NEW STOCK!

Special mention to our massive new rows of urns. These are so pretty to look at on mass, but we don’t mind you changing the feng shui of the display to buy one. 😂

We’ll have more tree of the day soon, but pots and statues are heavy. See you at Churches!
