Caran d’Ache and Swiss artist Julie Thomas have dreamed up an original assortment containing the artist’s favourite shades and a range of accessories enabling you to explorer the art of botanical watercolours and calligraphy.

Ideal as a gift or a treat to yourself, each assortment carries a QR code leading to a surprise: an online creative class run by Julie Thomas herself! Under her guidance, learn how to create a personalised floral greetings card by exploring the versatility of water-soluble media from Caran d’Ache.

In the “Floral greetings card” workshop, Julie introduces you to the use of complementary media and offers you the opportunity to create a floral greetings card with a personalised message. Anyone play Meccha Chameleon? The computer game that has you custom painting one of these little white figures to blend into it's environment before being 'hunted' by other players - has grabbed two of our staff artists' imagination! So much so they've played the game in real life, here in the shop!

Can you find the 6 figures that are hidden and painted in-store amongst the shelves?

Speaking of pups... Our staff artist .horse.art will have a table with her beautiful coloured pencil animal portrait prints at TOMORROWS (Sunday July 26th) PetFest Market at Box Hill Town Hall. Go have a gander from 10am until 3pm! Check it out!

He's only been here one day, but it was a great day 💙

Bigwig (the bosses' pup) is a rescue, kelpie, 4 month old little guy. He's got some training happening and got to say hi to some customers today, if you hear puppy whinges in the rear of the shop he's getting used to not having snuggles every second (as hard as some of our other staff find it to deny snuggles)

As we do with Red, if Bigwig is in-store we will have a sign on the door to say so - let us know if you're not comfortable so we can keep him on lead and out of the main shop area.

WE HAVE ANOTHER FABER CASTELL UPDATE:
"About the new 20 Polychromos Pencil tins after our first shipment sold out in three hours!!! We have now, officially got dates for two options going forward.

The first option, the *Normal option* is we are expecting
A sea freight order to arrive in November 2026. This will include the 20 pencil tins at the standard price of $63 each.

But today, we can also say we have confirmed a second shipment called the *FAST option* These ones will be air freighted straight to us at a higher cost, because of that the tins will be $73 when they land here in Australia (and also subject to the normal shipping charges to get them to you or pick up in store is another option)

If you would like to put your name down for either the fast option or the normal option tins, please send us an email to [email protected] and which one you would prefer.

This does not have any payment at this time and we will send you a link when the pencils are available.

Do you keep your chunky blobs on the palette? Refill them as they dry? Or are you a scrape-it-all-off artist?
One of our staff artists Liz Gridley - Artist uses Kraft Tape (Matte Finish) to easily clean her palette, placing the paint blobs on the tape and then peeling them off when in her words "they get too crusty"
