Boulder Opal from Queensland Australia💎 I bought this piece (and many others) while in rural outback Queensland🏜️

I bought many beautiful pieces of boulder opal from all over outback QLD. I was lucky enough to buy these directly from the source. Many shops I went to I got to meet the miners them selves, with many of them also cutting, shaping and polishing the pieces too😍
~
It was truly an honour to meet these miners and how their love of opal drives them to live in some of the roughest conditions in the country and the world🪶 Fun fact, Boulder Opal is only found in Queensland Australia, no where else in the world! We have many other varieties of opal such as crystal opal and black opal found in other states, but boulder opal is Queensland only, how cool and special!!!

Did you know we have over 800-900 species of eucalyptus species in Australia🤭 Taking up over 70% of our native forests realestate. I am extremely fortunate to have seen and collected many species of gumnuts from these spectacular trees across Australia on my travels in my van 🚐

In this necklace there is 𝓔𝓾𝓬𝓪𝓵𝔂𝓹𝓽𝓾𝓼 𝓞𝓫𝓵𝓲𝓺𝓾𝓪 (Stringybark) I collected in southern Tasmania. The larger Gumnut hanging on the Protea flower pod is from a Eucalyptus I didn’t identify sadly but I picked it in Broken Hill in outback New South Wales.🪶

Stacking pieces🤩 these 2 rose quartz pieces are a match made in heaven! On top we have a rose quartz chip wave choker with brass beads and a cute brass leaf charm. The statement piece is a rose quartz terminator also with brass and rose quartz beads, and an Aztec style brass charm.

Festivals or more so the Aussie bush doof scene is something I am deeply in love with, and the doof community has become my family over the years🥰
But this means I am often offline over the weekends as these community gatherings are held deep in the bush with no reception for sometimes up to a week.

Running macrame workshops are my way of bridging my love for macrame with my love of dancing barefoot with my community on sacred land🪶
~
My heart grows after every workshop I run. The people I meet, the eye opening conversations I have and the general feeling of watching people’s joy after creating wearable art they can cherish forever, is why I am obsessed with being apart of these gathering💜

Hand carved Protea flower featuring a real Echidna Quill✨

On my van travels around Australia, I sadly see a fair a bit of wildlife roadkill. Either my self or friends have taken the quills from echidnas we have found no longer in this realm on the side of roads. For me this is giving a new and different life, an immortal life to an animal who has lost its life tragically. It is my way of honouring its spirit, and taping into the medicine this beautiful and unique creature carries🪷

Been playing around with more materials I have found when out bush 🌳 while exploring many beaches in Tasmania I found beautiful smooth bones, of potentially birds or fish I would imagine. Being on the sand they have been sanded and smoothed over naturally✨

I keep getting pulled more and more towards working with material I find on country, and I am really loving the space this is creating for me to continue to connect deeper to the earth🍄‍🟫🐚🌱
