Kombu Wholefoods opened in Bellingen on the Mid North Coast of NSW on 26th September 2004. Kombu is a large, affordable and friendly grocery and produce store. There is a focus on regional and organic products, with over 300 regional lines available in store. Partners Lowanna and Kevin run Kombu as a social enterprise where environmental and social impacts of the business (including the products w

e sell) is considered equally as important as the usual financial considerations. To that end they also run the business along not-for-profit lines with profits at the end of the year going back into the business and into the wider community. A chance to admire our artistically taken photo – apologies! What we're trying to share is that the seedlings out the front of store at the moment are some of the best we've ever had - Maxime you're amazing! Some rain due at the weekend, warm sunshine to follow… This is probably the perfect time of year to get those seedlings into the ground and ready for spring salads and flowers 🥗 🌸

It's a great day when we get a new regional milk into store. Pepe Saya milk has just dropped - glass bottles, regional farms, unhomogenized, delivered direct and (most importantly) a fantastic taste! Into store once a week and sitting alongside our equally awesome regionally produced Jimmys and NORCO milks.

This is an exciting one! Into store later this week - a new regionally produced full-cream non-homogenised all-natural milk in glass returnable bottles from a farm in the Manning Valley. As with Hastings you'll find a refundable deposit on the bottles - return it clean for a discount from your next shop.
