Well… I honestly can’t speak 😂

A customer came in around 10 minutes ago asking for a refund on his giant number balloons because there were already balloons blown up at the party. We explained politely that unfortunately we couldn’t refund them because they had already been inflated… which is what we do when you buy helium balloons 🎈😂

Inflation is included in the price, whether you want them inflated or not, and in all our years we’ve genuinely never had someone complain because we inflated their balloons!

Sadly, he wasn’t happy at all and started kicking off, so in the end we refunded him anyway. First time for everything, I suppose 😂

So from now on, if you buy balloons from us, we may ask, “Do you want these inflated?”
and trust me, it’s not us joking around 😂 The things we have to deal with sometimes… goodness me! 🤦‍♂️🎈

Aww, some sad news to share this morning 💔

After many wonderful years serving our high street, Alan has decided to sell up and take a well-earned retirement. I’m sure everyone in Wombwell and the surrounding areas will truly miss him — thank you, Alan, for all your years of dedication, service, and being such a familiar face in our community.

The good news is that all the staff will be keeping their jobs, and we’re pleased to welcome Home Farm Bakery, who will be opening in Kings Place in the next couple of weeks 🥖

Wishing you all the very best in your retirement, Alan enjoy the rest, you’ve more than earned it! 💙
