Our final day on the road was a memorable one. We carefully moved Lizzy Munro’s grand piano from her home to her granddaughter’s house in Collarenebri, ensuring this beautiful family instrument will continue making music for generations to come. From there we travelled to Gilgandra, moving a couple of pianos from town properties out to local farms before giving them a fresh tune-up in their new homes. With another successful country trip complete, we made our way back to Mendooran before heading home to Newcastle, ready to start another busy week. PianoTuning

Today took us further north to the small farming community of Yerlarbon. One stop was to inspect a pianola that, unfortunately, couldn’t be restored to playing condition. The good news is the owners are excited to choose another piano from us on our next trip through the area. We also carried out major repairs on a little Beale upright, replacing broken action tapes, securing loose hammer heads and giving it a full tune. It was great to bring the piano back to life, leaving it playing beautifully once again. From there we worked our way back towards Moree, tuning another piano nearby before finishing the day with a visit to Boggabilla. Another busy day around Goondiwindi! Today was one of those jobs that reminds us why we love what we do.We visited long-time customer Lizzy Munro, who has recently moved into a nursing home. Music has always been a big part of her life, so we moved a piano from storage, set it up in her new home and gave it a tune so she can continue playing and enjoying what she loves. After tuning a few more pianos around Moree, we headed north to Goondiwindi where we delivered a beautiful Beale upright piano to its new owner. We carefully removed her old pianola and replaced it with the Beale, ready to be enjoyed for many years to come. www.fletcherpianos.com.au

The first day of our country trip started with the drive to Moree, where we tuned several pianos, including a very special one with a great piece of Fletcher Pianos history. This beautiful Knight upright was imported by Pailings between 1950 and 1987. Built in 1968 and sold new in 1970 by Ron Fletcher through WH Pailings and co in Tamworth, it’s now over 55 years old and still going strong. After a thorough clean-out, replacing a few action tapes and bringing it back to A440 concert pitch, it was sounding fantastic once again. It’s pretty special seeing Corey working on a piano that his father, Ron, sold all those years ago and now with his son jack by his side 4th generation —now sitting halfway between Moree and Goondiwindi on the Queensland border. Working away in the bush this week! 🎹🌾We’ve been covering plenty of kilometres, visiting medowie , muswellbrook , scone , Moree, Goondiwindi, yelarbon, Collarenebri, and now heading back through to mendooran to home and gilgandra sunday . From major piano repairs to regular tuning, we’re helping schools and customers getting their pianos sounding perfect weather its just for joy or getting ready for upcoming exams . Recently we moved a grand piano for the Newcastle Civic theartre , relocating it from one room to another with total care from start to finish. It’s made easier with a stage truck underneath the instrument, allowing smooth movement across the floor, but we still had to move it properly on its side to clear the doorway, then reset it back onto the stage trucks in the new space. www.fletcherpianos.com.au

Last week, Fletcher Pianos helped the Gosford Conservatorium of Music by moving 4 upright pianos and 2 grand pianos around the campus—into the exact rooms they needed. 🏛️🎹 With tight corners along the way, we even had to place a couple of uprights on their ends to make it through.
