Everyone pictures coastal art as blue and white and a bit… cold. This is the coast the way it actually feels when you’re standing in it. warm sand, scrubby dune grass, that hazy golden light that turns up right before the wind picks up.

It’s Mood Board Monday (I’m choosing to believe it still counts at 8pm 🫩), and tonight’s feature is Torquay Sands.

Coastal doesn’t always have to mean cool blues and crisp whites. This one’s a warmer take. sandy dunes, native grasses, soft golden tones. Coastal, but make it cosy.

Style it up with timber, woven textures, olive greens and earthy browns, and suddenly you’ve got a whole calm little coastal retreat happening. No boat required 🥰
