Most people assume the cloth or paper goes on the cover boards before the leather.
However, it’s the other way around!

For the neatest result, the leather is fitted first. The cloth is then positioned over the top, the corners folded back to create an even overlap of around 2–3mm, and trimmed to fit.

It’s one of those small details that makes all the difference to a clean, professional finish 👌🏻
