CASUAL RETAIL & CAFE ASSISTANT ā€” BERRY NSW

We're looking for someone special to join our growing team at The Berry Tea Shop.

We're after someone who loves a busy but customer-focused environment, has a natural warmth with people, and takes pride in the details that make a difference. Previous cafe or retail experience is essential for this position.

The role:

Casual, 15ā€“20 hours per week across 2ā€“3 days, including one weekend day. Immediate start.

Your duties would include, but are not limited to, helping customers find the perfect tea, serving in our cafe and keeping things running beautifully at a pace that's busy but never chaotic.

What we're looking for:

- A genuinely warm personality and real love of good customer service
- Someone who is able to take initiative and also work as part of a team
- Reliability - we're a small team, so every shift matters

What you'll get:

- A lovely working environment in one of NSW's most beautiful towns
- A team that genuinely cares
- And yes, very good tea!

In 2010, we opened a little tea shop in Berry. We had no idea what was comingā€¦

We never could have imagined what this little shop would become - or how many of you it would bring into our lives. Sixteen years of blending, brewing and sharing tea with the most wonderful community. We are so deeply grateful šŸ’

This past year has been one of the hardest of my life. A serious accident just after last yearā€™s long weekend left me away from the shop for far longer than I imagined. Being apart from something youā€™ve poured your heart into for sixteen years is a particular kind of grief. But what carried me through - every single day - was you. Your messages, your check-ins, your kindness. And our incredible team, who held everything together with such care and grace. I honestly couldnā€™t be more proud of them.

The shop has changed so much since 2010, and yet the heart of what we do has never wavered - spreading joy through the ritual of tea. Hereā€™s to sixteen years, and to every cup still to come.

For this beautiful couple, itā€™s hereā€¦ They have shared many cups of tea, cake and quiet conversations; and even a photo shoot before their engagement party because this is their favourite date spot. Weā€™ll just quietly dab our eyes šŸ„²
