It’s RSV Awareness Week! This week we’re raising awareness of RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) and the importance of protecting babies against severe illness.
RSV is a common and highly contagious virus that usually circulates during winter. While it can cause mild, cold-like symptoms, it can also lead to serious lung infections, including bronchiolitis and pneumonia.
RSV is a leading cause of hospitalisation in Australian infants, and severe illness can be unpredictable, even in otherwise healthy babies.
The good news is that immunisation options are now available to help protect infants against severe RSV, including vaccination during pregnancy as well as infant immunisation.
With winter now here, now is the time to act. Don’t let them go unprotected.

It’s RSV Awareness Week. This week we’re highlighting that RSV (or respiratory syncytial virus) is not just a childhood virus.
For some older people, RSV can lead to pneumonia and the worsening of existing health conditions, resulting in hospital admissions and a sudden decline in health.
The good news is that free RSV vaccination is now available through the National Immunisation Program for adults aged 75 years and over, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 60 years and over.

This RSV Awareness Week, speak with one of our pharmacists about RSV protection. Don’t go unprotected.

Eligibility extended for needle free Flu vaccine!

Children aged 2- 17 years old can now receive the intranasal flu vaccine for FREE.
Influenza cases are likely to start increasing rapidly now as we move into winter. Help protect your children with the flu vaccine. The vaccine delivered as a nasal spray has been shown to be equally as effective as the intramuscular needle vaccine.
