Burnett Livestock & Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday, 14th September saw a yarding of 2630 head.
Cattle were drawn from Sarina, Theodore, Eidsvold, Kalpower, Miriam Vale, 1770, Ubobo, Gin Gin, Bundaberg, Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Nanango, Tiaro, Booubyjan, Goomeri, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Mt Perry, Calliope and all local areas.
Two and four tooth Charbray steers from Electra sold for 460c/$2733. Six and eight tooth Brangus bullocks from Mundubbera sold for 438c/$2970. Six tooth Brangus steers from Gin Gin sold for 460c/$2884.
Two tooth Grey Brahman heifers from Gayndah sold for 442c/$2343. Six tooth Brahman heifers from Gayndah sold for 432c/$2150. Two and six tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Mundubbera sold for 430c/$2250.
Charbray cows from Binjour sold for 394c/$2352. Brahman cross cows from Gin Gin sold for 390c/$2210. Grey Brahman cows from Gayndah sold for 384c/$2231. Simmental cross cows from Gin Gin sold for 386c/$2201. Brahman cross cows from Tansey sold for 394c/$2417. Most fat cows sold from 365c to 390c/kg, medium fat cows sold from 320c to 350c/kg and store cows depending on age and condition sold for 150c to 250c/kg.
