Long post about Shop Event/Toy Fair/Siren of Audio Convention

What a huge couple of days it's going to be for collectors and Doctor Who fans in Melbourne this weekend!

To kick things off we have our Doctor Who signing tomorrow - Frazer Hines will be in the shop between 1pm and 2pm meeting fans and signing autographs - always a huge event, and a fun day! I brought a carload of Doctor Who merchandise back from Sydney earlier in the week, and have been working around the clock to clean, price and sort it to be ready for the weekend. We've also been pulling out all stops to have as much of the upstairs area open that we can for the weekend, and I think we will have 4 rooms open for the first time, so plenty of new stuff to see.

On Sunday we have the Monster Vintage and Modern Toy Fair happening, I know a lot of collectors will be attending that! Rod, one of my weekend staff will be having a table, so go and find him and buy stuff and also some of our customers are setting up tables and selling as well - good luck to all of them, especially Dan who always overwhelms us with good vibes whenever he visits. But if collecting isn't your think - The Sirens of Audio have their Sunday Frazer Hines event, a must go to final appearance of Frazer Hines in Australia. Frazer was a companion of the Second Doctor and also has returned to the show many times in the classic and modern eras. He is also the inspiration for the Outlander franchise and has a career that spans just about everything you can imagine! Aron has returned from the wilderness despite my best efforts to send him to Mordor via the Fury Road, but he has managed to bring back his Doctor Who haul and its already hitting the store. The will be more coming out leading up to this Saturday when we have our special Dr Who signing day so keep an eye out and keep your sonic wallet handy!

You know the most common question i get asked in the store? "Wheres Aron?" "Why isnt Aron in the store today?" These questions are actual very easy to answer. Arons out buying more toys that we dont have any room for, but when its the Doc calling you he always answers the call! Aron will be returning shortly with a very large Doctor Who collection that we will have in the store in time for the Frazer Heins signing this Saturday!

Sure Castle Greyskull is good and creepy but maybe if they gave it a new coat of paint and some curtains and im sure it could look as good as the She-Ra Crystal Castle.

May the force be with you, there's no greater hive of scum and villainy then Arons Collectables. While we aren't specifically mentioning Chad when we talk about disgusting, smelly, ugly monsters barely hidden in shadow we also have hidden an exact 3.75" replica of Chad in our Star Wars cabinet for months now and no one has mentioned he looks out of place so make of that what you will.

Okay Okay, we have been getting calls all day and messages too - 'will Frazer be appearing in your store?' Well with a big thank you to the The Sirens of Audio team and of course Frazer himself - YES!
We are proud to host Frazer again as part of his final Australian Tour! For anyone who has been to one of our shop signings you will know they are a great fun, hectic and have given Doctor Who fans a lot of great memories. We would love all our customers to come down to the store, grab an item and a free postcard (which have now become quite collectable themselves - has anyone got all of them signed? Feel free to post and share!). Anyone visiting Melbourne from interstate for the Monster Toy Fair also on the same weekend, can also participate and enjoy the vibe of one of our shop events.
One autograph is free with any shop purchase, and you don't have to get the item you purchase signed! Extra autographs can be purchased on the day, and if you want a longer and more intimate experience with Frazer, please consider attending the The Sirens of Audio event the day after our event.

If there were still fan awards for conventions in Australia I would be very surprised if the The Sirens of Audio events hadn't won a shelf full of trophies! The next event that Phil and the gang is organising is the farewell tour of Frazer Hines. Frazer if the legendary actor who played Jamie in 60's Doctor Who and has lived an amazing and colourful life. From child star to inspiring Outlander, Frazer is a living legend and this event will be the last chance you have to see him in Melbourne! If you love Doctor Who and want to spend the day hearing stories about the show, question and answer session, getting photos and autographs and and lots more, this event would be a perfect way to spend the day!

Thrilled to announce the Frazer Hines is returning for his final Australian visit. Yes - it’s almost time for Jamie to hang up his sporran and his kilt. This will be them last time Frazer plans to come to Australia so an event not to be missed. Grab your tickets and plan for a great day.

Happy Friday! Its Dags' favourite day of the week, which means its also time for his favourite toy franchise, DOCKY WHO! Yes, that's right you can get all these shiny new Eaglemoss Doctor Who mini statues in the store today!

The future is AI & Chrome at Aron's Collectables. We will not stand in the way of progress, to that end AI is taking over all positions and rather then firing Chad we have upgraded his on job training, this includes flaying him alive, gouging out his eyeballs, and shoving what's left of his brain into a metal shell. Introducing ChadGPT (Chad Gives People Trouble - new Dark Water Version), we have limited supplies of fun sized Chad sets for sale in store right now, 1 per customer, no holds or lay-bys, no online sales. In the picture we have 6, but in the time we have taken to create this post 3 have already gone - ChadGPT is efficient!
