Thank you to all those who came out today! Over $1,100 was raised for Food Within and nearly 3,000 books were re-homed.

Thank you to the volunteers of Food Within who helped spread the word and kept the chaos from descending upon the bookshelves.

Thank you to all our customers. Those who may have just found us and those who have been coming to see us for years. Please, keep reading and supporting the little bookshops.

Thank you to Bethany, Nina, Patricia, Kaitlyn, Katie and Ari for being the best damned employees ever! Seriously.

Thank you to my fellow stallholders (Sasha & Sophie, Rudi, Ray & Wendy, Harry and all those people I'm forgetting) for keeping me amused, caffeinated, and listening to me ramble on.

Because of all of you, it's been an amazing eight years selling books. Simply put, thank you.

Time to announce some bad news:

Parklea Books will shutting our curtains permanently come early July.

It’s been a good run: 8 years as Parklea Books and 10+ years as John the Bookman. Unfortunately it’s just not turning over enough to keep it going. We won’t be opening elsewhere so the books on the shelves, and the shelves themselves, have to be SOLD! And on that note, I announce the good news:
