These 2pr. of beautiful Nicks Handmade Boots have received Dainite studded re-crafts. These PNW boots are built tough and originally come with beefy lug soles designed for rugged conditions. However plenty of boot fans are wearing them simply because they look so good, and this customer wanted a more user friendly soling option. Because they are a stitchdown construction it’s imperative that the stitching is done by hand, hole for hole.

From the courts to the bowling lanes. These 2 pair of Nike Air Jordans have been converted for the bowling alley using heavy chrome split leather soling, vibram heels and a matching colour blake stitch at the toe for some extra sliding protection. For another repair store here in Adelaide …. These 2 pair of Scarpa hiking boots have been re-soled using custom shaped EVA midsoles, paired with Vibram ‘Foura’ outsoles. Plenty of miles left in these beauties.

Machinery break downs can really throw a spanner into a busy shop like ours. I'm some what under the weather at the moment, so I'm glad Lee was here this morning to sort out an issue with our Hardo. Now back to our regular programming.

Another pair of Red Wing Iron Rangers sent to us all the way from sunny Queensland. Stripped back to their original welts they were re-crafted for superior comfort with fresh cork filler, leather midsoles, Itshide Commando rubber soles, stacked leather heel blocks and matching Itshide top lifts. We also swapped out all the nickle hardware (eyelets and speed hooks) for brass. These heritage boots are now just as the customer invisioned.

All the way from sunny Queensland, this pair of Tony Lama Ostrich cowboy boots were giving the customer some grief. Too low in the toe box, they were putting pressure on the great toe, making them uncomfortable to wear. We re-lasted the toe using a modified last…..replacing the synthetic stiffners with veg tanned leather while we were at it. New welts, fresh cork, stitched and pegged JR leather soles, stacked leather heel blocks and Patfield rubber top lifts complete the re-build. But most importantly, on their return, the customer was good enough to ring and let us know the fit was spot-on 👌.
