What looks like a Biryani bowl to feed an Indian village is actually the start of a rounded planter form. I focus on having a good bowl shape on the inside, and don't worry too much on the outside because once it's finished, I can shave it back with a steel ruler.
I use the burner quite extensively at this stage.
