EXCITING NEWS
For quite a few weeks we have had the doors closed and have been MIA from socials, the reason being we have sold the business. The process unfortunately took a little longer than expected but we wanted to wait until it was final before announcing the big news.
It's been a bit emotional and bittersweet for me, I had some big hopes and dreams for this little business but I reluctantly came to the realisation that it wasn't the right fit or timing for our little family, so the hard decision was made to sell the business.
Now the sweet part of the bittersweet. I'm able to just be Mum, enjoying our days and weekends at home without worrying about watering plants or dragging kids to work with me and, as hard as it has been to let go I have happily done knowing that it's going into the very capable hands of two lovely locals ladies who have the passion and enthusiasm to make this amazing little business bloom. Kellie and Di have loads of gardening knowledge and experience between them, they're going to do great things, I just know it! They're opening tonight from 3-7! I've had a sneak peak and it's beautiful and loaded with new stock so make sure you head over and check out the 'The Little Garden Nook'.
Finally a little note from me...
Thank you to all my beautiful customers, friends and family who have showed me so much love and support on this little journey over the past 18 months. I'll will truly miss seeing and chatting to you all, I've formed lots of new relationships and learnt so much along the way it's been amazing, I'm going to miss it so much.
All that being said, owning a small business is not all sunshine and roses, especially in a small town. It's been bloody hard. I constantly hear so many negative comments from locals about our local businesses and it saddens me but you don't realise just how much those comments can affect them until you've owned a business yourself. Our Bombala business owners work so hard to bring great products and services to our little town. The financial crisis, fuel/rent increases has everyone pinching their pennies and it is taking a toll on everyone - so be kind, judge less and support local businesses because we're so lucky to have them 🤍
