🐝🍯 A LOVELY VISIT FROM YOUNG! 🍯🐝

We had a lovely group of ladies visit us at Birds, Bees & Me the other day as part of the Young to Coast to Country bus trip. 💜

I even stepped a little outside my comfort zone and gave them a talk about bees and honey - two things I love, although I have to admit talking in front of a group is not exactly my favourite thing! 😂🐝

We finished up with a little honey tasting, sampling four different varieties:

🍯 Spring Blossom
🍯 White Clover
🍯 Yellow Box
🍯 Creamed Honey

And the Creamed Honey seemed to be the favourite! 😋🍯

It was such a lovely group and we really enjoyed having them visit the shop. Thank you for calling in and spending some time with us - we hope you enjoyed your visit and we'd love to see you all again! 💜🐝

🐑💜 WOOLFEST IS NEARLY HERE! 💜🐑

Only 8 days to go until Woolfest takes over Boorowa - and you can definitely feel it coming!

There’s plenty happening across the whole weekend, so if you’re thinking of coming to town, why not make a weekend of it? 🐑💜

✨ Friday night – Woolfest events and entertainment
🧶 Saturday – our Woolfest Driveway Market from 10am–2pm, followed by family-friendly Fringe activities in the park
🐑 Sunday – the BIG Woolfest day! Market stalls, entertainment, street parade, Running of the Sheep and lots more!

And of course, we’ll be right here at Birds, Bees & Me, getting into the Woolfest spirit. 💜

We’re back with another little peek at some of the fabulous stallholders joining us for our Woolfest Driveway Market on Saturday October 3! 🐑

🌿 Theresa – Health & Wellness
Theresa will be bringing along a range of health and wellness products, including her Phatt and Restorix products. If you're interested in health and wellbeing, pop by and have a chat with Theresa about what she has to offer. 🌿

🌸 Sharon – The Bonnie Doon Rose Garden
Just look at these gorgeous flowers! 🌸💗 Sharon from The Bonnie Doon Rose Garden will be bringing some of her beautiful blooms along — and there may even be some bulbs available too, so you can take a little bit of the garden home with you and grow your own. 🌱

💜 Milia – our youngest stallholder!
We’re always excited to see what Milia has been creating and her colourful handmade bracelets and bag charms are just gorgeous!
There are so many fun colours, beads and little characters to choose from — and we love seeing young local creatives getting out there and having a go. 💜

And that’s another three! There’ll be lots more to discover on the day, with a wonderful mix of local, handmade, creative and unique goodies.

We’ve been getting ready for our Woolfest Driveway Market and thought we’d give you a little sneak peek at just three of the lovely stallholders joining us on Saturday!

🌶️ Our Small Garden
If you like a bit of flavour, you’ll want to check out Our Small Garden! Their range includes taco seasoning, tomato salsa and their delicious wh**ky marmalade — something for the sweet, the savoury and everything in between. 😋

🐄 Bec Bruce Creative
Bec will be bringing along her gorgeous handmade little bags and some very cute cow magnets — because really, who doesn't need a cow magnet in their life?! 😂🐄

🧵 Paulie’s Patchwork
We’re loving these! A gorgeous denim hat with a handmade flower and one of Paulie’s fabulous scallop-topped bags. Practical, pretty and completely unique. 💙

It looks like a couple of colourful visitors have decided that one of our little bird houses is worth investigating…

We’re not quite sure whether they were house hunting, checking out the real estate or just being nosy! 😂🦜

Either way, we think they make pretty gorgeous visitors. 💜

🐑💚 WOOLFEST WEEKEND STARTS HERE! 💚🐑

We’re getting ready for a big Woolfest weekend in Boorowa and we’re kicking things off with our Woolfest Driveway Market!

Our driveway will be filled with a lovely mix of local makers, handmade items, local goodies and unique finds — and we’ll also have some of the fabulous entries from the Woolfest Upcycled Competition on display. 🧶✂️💚

It’s a relaxed, friendly little market and a great chance to shop local, support small businesses and find something a little different.

So if you’re heading to Boorowa for Woolfest, come early and make a weekend of it! Pop into the market, wander through the C*D, check out the Woolfest activities and of course, come and say hello at Birds, Bees & Me. 🐑💜

✨ A little shop makeover ✨

There’s always something happening behind the scenes at Birds, Bees & Me!

This time, Mum and Dad have been put to work painting one of our display cabinets. 😂

The before photo probably gives away just how much of a mess the shop was in while we were doing it… 🤦‍♀️ There were ladders, paint, drop sheets and things everywhere!

But look at it now! ✨

A fresh coat of paint and a bit of rearranging and it’s ready to show off more of the gorgeous local, handmade and unique goodies we have in the shop.

A big thank you to Mum and Dad for always being willing to lend a hand — although I think they may be getting a little too good at this shop-renovation business! 😂💜

🐑💜 WOOLFEST IS COMING TO BOOROWA! 💜🐑

Our Woolfest sheep is looking pretty happy with herself and we’re getting ready for a big weekend in Boorowa!

Sunday 4 October is Woolfest and Birds, Bees & Me will be right in the middle of the action in the C*D. 🐑💜

Come along, enjoy the Woolfest festivities, wander through town, support our local businesses and pop in to see us while you’re here.

And because one day of shopping is never enough… 😉

🧶 Woolfest is coming… and we've been getting creative!

Our Woolfest window is looking a little woolly and it includes two very special entries in the Upcycled Competition - one made by Ava and one by me. 💜

🐑 Ava's bag started life as an old tapestry. She has transformed it into a beautiful bag, adding hand-felted and embroidered handles to give it a really unique finish.

🧺 My overnight bag began life as an old blanket and a tea towel - two things that have been given a whole new lease on life!

We love the idea of taking something old and giving it a new purpose and we're pretty happy with how these two turned out. 😊
