Bette would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who sent her birthday wishes for her 80th birthday. 💜

She's been trying her very best to reply to everyone, but if we've missed your message along the way, please know that she has seen it and really appreciated every single one. Thank you Holly Bay Images for the beautiful portrait!

And while we're saying thank you... thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes for Birds, Bees & Me too! We can't quite believe our little shop has now been open for three years. 🐝

It's been a pretty special week celebrating both milestones and we're so grateful for the wonderful support and friendship we've received from our customers and the Boorowa community and further away.

And yes... the "How old in dog years?" card was a definite favourite! 😂🐶

Did you know August is Platypus Month?

We're celebrating these amazing and uniquely Australian creatures throughout August and our platypus mural is the perfect reminder of just how special they are.

Did you know that a platypus doesn't have a stomach? Instead, its oesophagus connects directly to its intestines, making it one of the few mammals without a true stomach!

If you're out and about in the Hilltops, keep your eyes on our waterways—you never know when you might be lucky enough to spot one. 💙 Or stop in Boorowa and see the mural near our shop!

Today we're celebrating not one, but two wonderful milestones.

It's hard to believe that what began as a little six-week pop-up shop has grown into three amazing years. Along the way we've met so many wonderful people, shared countless laughs and conversations and watched our little shop become part of this wonderful community.

To everyone who has visited, shopped, supported us, recommended us to friends or simply stopped in for a chat - thank you. Your encouragement and kindness have meant the world to us.

Every morning on our walk, we stop to say hello to this handsome fellow. Bob is always waiting patiently... especially if he thinks there might be a carrot or two on offer! And there is... 🥕

It's become one of those simple little routines that brightens the start of the day.

📚 A new local story has arrived at Birds, Bees & Me! 🐾

We're delighted to have a newly published children's book available in the shop.

It's a charming story about a cat and a dog, written with plenty of heart and sure to be enjoyed by young readers and anyone who loves a good story.

To celebrate, we've paired the book with our handmade cat and dog quilts in the display—you might even spot one of our family members enjoying a quiet read!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Driveway Market on Saturday! 💜

Thank you to our wonderful stallholders for bringing such a beautiful variety of local, handmade and unique products and to everyone who stopped by to browse, shop and chat. The weather was kind enough to us and it made for a lovely day.

That's exactly what Paul's doing as he moves the bees to their next location, following the seasons and the flowering trees to produce beautiful local honey.

It's a job that means early mornings, late nights, a few kilometres... and some pretty spectacular sunsets along the way.

Every jar of honey on our shelves has quite a journey before it reaches your table.
