It’s a big week for new releases! From the wonderful Maggie O’Farrell - author of Hamnet and The Marriage Portrait - comes Land, a multigenerational epic of loss, hope and reunion. Set in Ireland in the late 1800s, it’s the story of a father and son charged with mapping the whole of Ireland.

From : “Land is a story of buried treasure, overlapping lives, ancient woodland, persistent ghosts, a particularly loyal dog, and how, when it comes to both land and history, nothing ever goes away.” Well done

Douglas Stuart, Booker Prize-winning author of Shuggie Bain and Young Mungo, has published a new novel, John of John.

Fans probably don’t need anymore information!

For those who haven’t yet had the pleasure: “John of John is a vivid, moving and beautifully crafted novel following a young man returning to his Hebridean island home, a portrait of a close-knit community and a fraying family, of a father’s expectations and a son’s desires.”
