📢 Community Update – Bremer Bay & Jerramungup Pharmacies

We’d like to keep our communities updated on some important upcoming changes across both pharmacies.

From 1 June onwards, both Jerramungup and Bremer Bay Pharmacies will only be open while a Pharmacist is present. This means there will be some changes to store opening hours, aligned with when the doctor is in town.

Although Monday 1st June is the WA Day Public Holiday the Bremer Bay Pharmacy will be open from 1:30-5:00pm thanks to our locum pharmacist who will be assisting us as Eric will be covering GnowangerupPharmacy while Irivne takes some personal leave.

Despite an extensive Australia-wide search for an additional qualified Pharmacist, we have unfortunately been unable to recruit locally. As a result, we’re pleased to announce Hamna Shahid will be joining our team as an Intern Pharmacist later this year. While fully qualified in Pakistan, Hamna will complete supervised practice requirements here in Australia before becoming fully registered.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and support while we work towards our goal of having an additional Pharmacist available so both pharmacies can return to full-time opening hours.

You’ll also notice some exciting changes over the coming months as both stores transition away from the AMCAL franchise to our own local pharmacy group — allowing a stronger focus on serving our communities.

You may have noticed a new face recently here at the Bremer Pharmacy. Introducing Ruth, who will be with us for a few weeks 👋

Hi everyone, I’m excited to be joining the team as your locum pharmacist. I graduated in 1998 and have worked in the UK as well as across regional Western Australia. I’m currently based in Parkerville, WA, and I’m also extending my studies to become a prescribing pharmacist.

When I’m not in the pharmacy, I love being outdoors — hiking, paddle boarding, and camping — usually with my dashound Short Cut 🐾, who’s always along for the adventure. I’m looking forward to meeting you and supporting your health while I’m here. Please come in and say hello!

Don't forget we are open from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday and from 9am-3pm on Saturdays.
