Had a great day fishing on the River Murray using Maximus rods, Villain 2.7 in Medium weight the Encore in 2.2 ML Neon Spy in 2.4 ML and the old faithful Rodzilla Harrison and Irish matched with a range of Diawa and Shimano reels. Some Pelicans had a free feed and a bucket load of Carp went to fertiliser for the veggie patch at Gerry’s place. We got a mixed bag of Carp, Redfin and Yellowbelly, overall a great day with fantastic company. Just finish the Mate V Mate competition at Burrinjuck Dam, what a great time meeting up with old mates and making new ones 131 teams vied for $80K in prizes. Biggest Cod, Yellowbelly, and Redfin Trophies and prizes. Anyone looking for a great competition in n a beautiful location keep an eye out for next years event. I’m over the moon I made some rods for the event to be auctioned and they made $3700 out of the rods. Ubuild rods supplied the parts, Barrie Coonan provided advice and inspiration, Digi decals for the Decals

Well that’s my first NSW swing of the done and dusted as a Non Boater. The southern arena was a steep learning curve at times but made easier by some great boaters along the way.

Our first export of a Maximus Smuggler travel rod, to New Zealand went off without a hitch it was delivered in less than 5 days, which will get our customer all sorted for his upcoming trip, hopefully there will be some pictures to follow with his success.
