I can't help but really appreciate these older Maton guitars. This is an EM400C from 1993. A good workhorse guitar that's played a lot of gigs. The original pickup has failed but it's a straight swap for a new AP5 Original. There's lots fancier and flashier and more valuable guitars but this is a trusted friend still in service.

Number 104. Double O size with Tulip Satinwood back, sides and neck. I love tulip satinwood. It's shame it's so rarely available.

It's been a bit slow getting the new workshop going here in Melbourne but the work is starting to flow. I don't do many violin repairs but this was enjoyable. This old violin belonged to my customer's grandfather. it's been broken in the case for many years. Time to bring back into the light.

It's just Gibsons in the head stock department. A mid 60s Maton Ibis. This one was broken long ago and some clever soul put a couple of screws through it. When they failed the peghead came fully off.

Time to put this one back together. I wonder how many Les Paul pegheads I have repaired. This is just one of 3 in the shop right now.
