Dressed up today to take my fur baby to the Grooming Parlour - do an amazing job. While I was out a few lovely ladies stopped me to ask about my jewellery I was wearing (of course all made myself🙃). Happy Mother’s Day to all who mother. My fur baby Indi gifted her mum some amazing shot plates this year. For anyone who loves miniatures (4-6mm) and flora and fauna you’ll love these. To make it even more special Indi knows I’m a proud Australian so made sure Raiyani made two of the shot plates with Australian animals, gum leaves, wattle, gum nuts etc. can’t wait to add these little creatures and bits to my creations .... watch this space. Some have asked how these lovely French vintage framed pendants were fabricated.... so here goes my attempt to explain my process.... moulded Metal Clay 975silver to shape top of frames, dehydrated, sanded, dehydrated, hand torched and finished, rolled 16gauge sterling silver pattern texture plate soldered to frames and sawed and finished. Then the final touch was to attach real snakeskin to the inside of the frames and ever so careful tuck in the very edge for a nice neat finish. While a similar effect could have been achieved using snakeskin texture plate and transparent enamel my special friend who received these was heart set in having the real texture. Look and feel amazing!
