I was thinking about life and how small 1 lifetime seems compared to the grand scheme of things. We're so small in comparison. Obviously not true, but cats are said to have "9 lives." I think even 9, by the end of your last one in the world as it is, would feel it went by just as quick as if you only lived one... so the cat is made of glass to symbolise the fragile nature of life, regardless of how long it may be. Transparent and fleeting. Inside is the land we live and love in and return to in the end. And space is large and unending, unlike us. So it envelops the glass cat. I know I'm only 27, so still young as others would see me. But I can't help but feel like I didn't get to hold onto childhood long enough, I wasn't done with it yet before time decided it wasn't mine to have anymore. The universe keeps moving forward whether you're ready or not.
