We are very excited to have donated this beautiful vase to a fundraiser for Mamuke Acts of Hope.

On the 29th (this Saturday!) the vase will be auctioned off as part of a fundraiser raising money to better the lives of young children in Zambia.

About the Cause-
Mamuke Acts of Hope Initiative Australia is a charity in Queensland dedicated to providing free early education to vulnerable children in Twapia, Zambia.  Twapia is a community where families live in extreme poverty. The charity is currently funded to support 40 children. However there are many more who require support.  We would love your help to break the cycle of poverty.

It’s an absolute pleasure to gift a piece of our work to raise precious funds and we hope the event is a great success!

Quiet on socials but not behind the scenes! Last week we re stocked the beautiful The Wilde Collective Co with lots of new work. We have a scattering of our vibrant pumpkin and lavender ware available along with a colourful range of porcelain nerikomi earrings. If you’re looking for something special for a gift or for yourself- it’s a great spot.

I always underestimate how long glazing actually takes. It’s multiple layers, smoothing, sponging and clean up before stacking the kiln. The hours slip away when I am in glaze mode! Sometimes I wish I could glaze as fast as this reel makes it look 👀

Last week I picked up something for the students at our studio to have a play with.

After seeing lefties in our classes sometimes frustrated with learning the wheel (us righties have it easy apparently!) we got a lovely new direct drive wheel for students to use. This wheel will sit along side our others for students- but it spins clockwise it anticlockwise at the click of a button.

Not going to lie- it’s the fanciest wheel I have ever tried, so I am excited to have it at the studio for our students.

This sunny golden pumpkin glaze is my absolute favourite at the moment. I threw this bowl two weeks back when I was in the process of throwing some larger vases for a client. One vase did not want to be a vase! So- I turned it into this beauty of a serving bowl.

Hand resist flowers on the outside and my favourite sunny pumpkin inside! What a beauty.

Here’s hoping you love the glaze as much as I do?!
