Patchy fading, uneven results — most people blame the tan. But 9 times out of 10, it comes down to prep.

Here are the four things that make the biggest difference:

→ Exfoliate 24 hours before, not day-of (exfoliating too close to application removes the base you just put down)
→ Moisturise dry areas — knees, elbows, ankles — straight after exfoliating
→ Apply mousse in sections, not all at once from top to bottom
→ Let it dry fully before dressing. This step matters more than people realise.

Do these four things and your tan lasts longer, fades evenly, and looks genuinely natural.
