Vintage charm with a contemporary twist, the Summit’s new space is perfect for weddings & events with unique character and effortless elegance.

Part 1. Everyone assumes Garden Graffiti is just a nice catchy name.

But it’s eight years on this September, so I’m unpacking the story behind the brand. And the story behind me.

I trained in theatre before I trained in flowers (slide 2 can confirm 🤡). It became clear fairly quickly that jobs in the arts were quite non-existent, so I turned my head to studying floral design at TAFE.

In 2014, I carried an arbour piece across a paddock and had one of those moments where you just know. This was the job for me!

Then came London, where I ended up running a flower shop that was colourful and wild and loose. Garden-picked, full of texture and movement. Here is where I worked out what I actually wanted flowers to look like.

In between there was a lot of travel, and teaching workshop retreats in Italy. 🍝

I then flew to New York and freelanced with whoever would have me. Graffiti everywhere in the streets of Bushwick, colour on steroids, edgy and modern and loud.

I came home to Brisbane in September 2018 with a logo, a very empty bank account and the best experiences.
