The Witches Halloween Night Market returns to Raby Bay for its second haunting year — a twilight celebration of magic, mystery, and the ancient festival that birthed Halloween itself.
Redland has embraced us with open arms, and we return once more to conjure a night of enchantment, community, and witch fire beneath the October sky.
🌙🕯️ A Night of Northern‑Hemisphere Magic
Though we in the Southern Hemisphere celebrate Samhain on May 1, October remains the traditional Halloween season for our Northern cousins — and so we honour their festival with a night dedicated to all things spooky, witchy, and wonderfully strange.
Wander through lantern‑lit stalls filled with:
Witchy wares and spellcraft tools
Quirky handmade treasures
Pagan gifts and Halloween curiosities
Unique creations crafted by magical artisans
This is your chance to gather everything you need for a night of celebration — whether you honour Samhain, All Hallows’ Eve, or simply revel in the magic of Halloween.

Halloween is not a commercial invention — it is born from Samhain, the ancient Celtic festival marking the end of harvest and the beginning of winter.

We celebrated our Southern Hemisphere Samhain on the Fraser Coast June 28 this year — and now, as the Northern Hemisphere prepares for their Halloween, we return once more to honour the season in Cleveland.

The Medieval village at Beltane Community Gathering is run by the Sotheim Sunshine Coast, which is a re-enactment group that is a part of the wider Society for Creative Anachronism LTD (SCA).

Sotheim is based on the Sunshine Coast. The SCA, is a family-friendly, non-profit, educational organization whose aims include re-creating the arts and crafts of the pre-17th century world. We enjoy learning about and creating crafts and activities popular in the past. Archery, sewing, fibre crafts, cooking, blacksmithing are some of the many things we enjoy. This area is free for all to attend and will be in residence for the entire Beltane Community Gathering, next to the Witches Market.

Within the encampment of Sotheim will have markets stalls, demonstrations of crafts and if the weather lets them, fighting displays. If you see something interesting within the encampment, please come over and have a chat to the friendly members.

All are welcome and is free entry to everyone.

The Humble Knight will be back (formerly the Humble Fighter) hosting kids entertainment for Beltane 2026!

The Medieval Games will be back, bigger and better than before! We’ll be featuring our mighty castle, the bridge of doom, treasure raids, magic items, a goblin camp, Brutus the beast and a mini siege engine! And this year, it’ll be to a Halloween theme 👻🦇🧹

So, whether the kids want to sow seeds of chaos by joining the nefarious spooks, or be on the side of light as one of the Ghost Hunters… the series of games and fate will determine if it’s good or wickedness that will prevail in the end!

It’s going to be a ton of fun so don’t miss it ⚔️🛡️

And for those who want to come a bit earlier to the market, kids can come and join in the inaugural BEAST PARADE! Brutus the beast will be bringing Halloween tidings and good fortune to the market... and the more young spooks and goblins who wish to join him, the better!

This event will occur in the Village Green of the Witches Market as part of our Halloween special market and is free to attend
