I (Chelsea) asked him to pack our final order from drop 1 and have a little yap on camera. Was left with 10 minutes of footage to edit and I couldn’t cut it down because I know how many of you love a little Aaron pack and yap. So, you’re welcome.

To everyone who brought the Edge Lamp home, we can’t thank you enough! Drop One is officially sold out.

We honestly can’t believe we’re writing this. This time last year, this was just an idea between two people at home, sketching something we wished existed. And now it’s sitting in homes across Australia, starting conversations, casting that warm glow we dreamed about, and it’s sold out.

We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who took a chance on us as a brand new, unknown little Australian brand. You didn’t just buy a lamp. You believed in something before it had a reason to be believed in. That means everything to us.

This is just the beginning.

Pre-orders for the next run of the mirrored Edge Lamp will be opening very soon, so if you missed out, don’t stress. And if you’ve been waiting for the colours, they are so so close to being here.

The lighting is terrible in this video. But there was absolutely no chance we were waiting until morning to open this.

After months (like monthhhsss) of tweaks, colour matching, and more hiccups than we’d care to admit, we have finally got our hands on our first coloured Edge Lamp.

And honestly, we couldn’t be happier!

Getting the finish right was something we weren’t willing to compromise on. We wanted a rich, glossy butter yellow that felt elevated, timeless and true to the vision we’d had from the very beginning.

Seeing it in person for the first time made every delay worth it.

Now that we’re happy with the final result, production can be finished and finalised and the three colours shipped to us!

So stay tuned, because they’re coming sooner than we thought.

We don’t think every item in your home needs to be an investment piece. But we do think we’ve become a little too comfortable replacing things instead of choosing pieces that are built to stay.

There’s absolutely a place for affordable homewares. We’ve all bought them. But somewhere along the way, homes started filling up with products that were never really designed to last. They follow a trend, serve a purpose for a little while, and then they’re replaced by the next thing.

We’d rather own fewer pieces that mean something.

The ones you keep through different homes, different seasons of life and different interior styles. The ones that become part of your space rather than just filling it.

That’s the kind of design we’re trying to create with By Gray.

Not products that ask, “what’s trending this month?”

Products that you’ll still love years from now.

We loved seeing Gabbi Deiuliis style the Edge Lamp as a bookend, because it perfectly captures what we had in mind when we designed it.

It’s so much more than just a lamp. It brings light, anchors a shelf, holds your favourite books, and still stands alone as a sculptural piece even when it’s switched off.

We believe the best design earns its place in your home by being both beautiful and functional. This is exactly what functional art looks like.

Lamps are the most underrated room upgrade.

Not a new sofa. Not a gallery wall. Not a coat of paint. A lamp, switched on at eye level while the overhead stays off, changes the entire feeling of a space.

Warmer. Quieter. More considered. It’s the smallest change with the biggest impact.

We’ve always been lamp obsessed in our home so it was only natural that we designed one for our first product.
