What Does HANDMADE Really Mean?

It means someone sat there making this instead of doing something sensible... like the housework that desperately needed doing.

It means this wasn't spat out by a giant factory machine named Gary at 3,000 units an hour.

It means a real human made it. Probably while covered in pet hair, wiping banana off a toddler, and drinking a coffee that went cold three hours ago.

It means your item is unique. Not "factory unique." Actually unique.

No one else has one exactly the same.

It means extra care went into every stitch, cut, and detail.

It means that while we're making something, we're thinking about chunky naps, zoomies, muddy paws, baby giggles, and hours of play.

It means personality.

It means character.

It means the occasional tiny imperfection that proves a human made it. The funny thing is, we've probably spotted it and stressed over it twenty times more than you ever would.

Most importantly, it means your money is supporting a real person, a real family, and a small business that's doing its very best not to spend all its profits on more craft supplies... or housewares we absolutely do not need.

Handmade isn't perfect. It's better than perfect.

It's real.

And in a world full of mass-produced everything, I will choose real every time. ❤️
