A commercial façade should do more than illuminate a building, it can bring energy and new life to an entire neighbourhood.
For the transformation of Clarendon Centre in South Melbourne, the lighting solution had to follow the building’s architectural lines, vertical elements and canopy structures while creating a strong and consistent visual effect across the entire façade.
The project incorporated almost 1,000 metres of GLOPRO 1010 LED Neon, manufactured in 157 custom lengths to suit the building’s dimensions and geometry. Each section was carefully planned to create continuous lines of light, strengthen the centre’s nighttime identity and contribute to a more vibrant streetscape after dark.
Designed and supplied by Lightcore, the solution was brought to life in collaboration with , whose team completed the installation across the façade and canopy.
This transformation demonstrates how custom commercial façade lighting can extend beyond the building itself, enhancing the architecture, improving nighttime visibility and bringing colour, movement and energy to the surrounding neighbourhood.
