There’s something about blue when it takes over like this…This piece built itself around contrast…soft florals pushing against raw texture and grit…side by side without fighting for attention.

It’s a big one…so the challenge was keeping it balanced without losing that punch up close.

This one is going to own the wall it lands on...and "yes" it was a commission from the clients brief.😎

Well…this one was a serious bit of fun.

A massive abstract commission that pushed the studio space a little and let the textures, blues and earthy tones really run wild across the canvas.

Big works like this are always an adventure…lots of layers, movement and stepping back about a hundred times to make sure the energy is doing the right thing.

Finished in a custom black oak float frame, made right here in the studio…so every detail stays in-house from the first texture layer to what lands on the wall.

Safe to say…this one will make a pretty serious statement in its new home. 🙌

This is the second little side series piece in the Franko Booclubs..... "Guides"...though I havent expanded it much. Time is always the killer.

A play on words a US judge once said in a case against some online adulty business a few years ago. I instantly thought "that can also can apply to art". 😂🥰😂...and of course it varies for everyone.

Art Lovers Australia ....the team and Nancy and Jarrod. 2 lovely beautiful dedicated humans. In May 2018 I sold my first piece on Artlovers and have proudly been a best seller every year since. I joined their growing community of artists after Ebay changed some things that no longer supported individual artists.

Since then we have not only sold hundreds of Frankos together, but have provided much exposure thru Media like The Block and Grand Designs.

These guys are fans of all creatives, and work tirelessly to support “everyone” they can touch. A key belief of mine in business (any business) over the years is that “One hand washes the other”. Partnerships are important, and support those that support you. Throw seeds out in front of you as you move forwards, and reap what you sow in time.

SO this happened on global site Artfinder.com also. This was the third year for “Franko” to appear on the best sellers list, and grab that badge to display proudly for 2026.

Have never quite made it to Number 1 on the “Best Sellers” list on Artfinder, only made it to number 2 a few times, but just to be included in the Top 40 is amazing on an international site. Maybe 2026 will be the year. 🤩

Grateful to the team Bluethumb for another successful 2025, and looking forward to a wonderful 2026.

Always stoked to see "Franko" at the pointy end. Joined mid 2017 and sold the first piece in October same year and was the Best Selling Artist in 2018 and havent looked back....in those 8 years together (Bluethumb and Franko...hand in hand) have sold some $1.8m in "Frankos" to wonderful collectors. All up this is year 17 as a fulltime artist. With persistence, anything is possible...living proof right here. So work hard, but good to your mother. 🥰

It never matters where the art goes, the effort to get it there, even if it doesnt cover the cost... cest la vie...its all about the art, always was, always will be.

AND its always always worth it to hear of the joy bought to clients homes/spaces. This piece sent to the Caymans....
