Anyone else hurtling towards the end of the year praying for the break to come sooner, yet still needing a full month to fit in all the things?
I feel ya.
Incorporating 2-minute timeouts can seriously help you be your best self and push back those feelings of overwhelm. It’s an investment in your well-being that pays big rewards.
🆘 Or, you know, just keep running on fumes and pretend like you’re thriving… until you have a panic attack at the shops or collapse into a pile of holiday snacks and regret ⁉️
Timeouts could look like:
🎄 Five deep breaths, exhaling 1 second longer than your inhale
✨ A quick walk outside, soaking in some fresh air and sunlight
🌸 A moment of stretching or gentle movement to release tension. Release jaw, tongue, neck, shoulders, butt.
💫 Drinking a glass of water without multi tasking, focussing on the sensation of it going down your throat
🕯️ A moment of gratitude – take a second to reflect on something you’re thankful for. Bonus point, share it with someone and spend the minute in gratitude.
🌿 A short mindfulness practice, focusing on your senses for a minute. Search quick body scan meditation.
🛄 packing a suitcase and buying a one way ticket to Bali this silly season.
Taking a pause, even for just a couple of minutes, helps to reset your mind and body. You’ve got this—let’s finish the year strong. 💪
