We interrupt our usual broadcast with a change-of-heart announcement.

We're at Giveaway Day #7 of our planned #17 Days of Giveaways, celebrating the released of SeaSpary17.

But this will be the last prize that is up for grabs by you, our lovely social media followers.

For the balance of our last 10 weeks of giveaways, we've decided to give in a different direction.

Photographer, Kian Bates and I live thousands of kilometers apart on Australia's gorgeous coastline, yet both our towns have been surrounded by bushfires for weeks now as Queensland and New South Wales continue to burn. There's ash in the air, smoke on the horizon and it's harder to breathe. People and wildlife need help to recover.

We've decided that one of the ways we can help is to convert/redirect the remaining funds we would have spent securing prizes and promoting giveaways for the next 10 weeks into donations to benefit those impacted by bushfires. We'll also be adding an extra donation of books to help raise money for bushfire victims. Donations will be split between Red Cross and Koalas in Care.

It's a small gesture, but we believe that collective small gestures can make a world of difference right now to families, townships and wildlife in need.

For our final social media giveaway for SeaSpray17's , we have a pair of Barz Optics polarised sunglasses AND two pairs of Lill & i earrings up for grabs. Both Barz Optics and Lill & i earrings are local businesses - Aussie-built from the ground up. Barz Optics have an awesome range of floating and polarised sunnies, perfect for life on the water. Lill & i earrings are all lovingly hand made by a Brisbane local. They are lovely and light to wear and very beachy-chic. Please check out their respective ranges.

My grand plans of creating huge amounts of new earrings was delayed over the weekend by some beautiful family time but..... I managed to get a few pieces created. I still have to finish them off but I am loving the colours and combos. I think I will need to create some more with different but matching colours before I release them for sale...... Keep an eye on this space!
