It’s been a while since my last post, so thought I’d update you all on what’s been happening in my world.

Many of you would have met my sister, she is often standing by my side at markets. She has been unwell for some time and awaiting a transplant. On the 3rd of January she was called and informed there was a transplant organ available for her. And that is when I stepped away from sewing to support my sister through her transplant journey.

Now, after transplant surgery, many hospital appointments, hospital admissions and loads hospital visits, she is finally home and healing. The journey isn’t over yet, but we can certainly see a light in the distance now.

So last weekend I picked up some felt and cotton and started sewing again. It’s good to be back creating. 2026 has been a slow start, but my sister and I will slowly get back out to do markets once the time is right.

Pictured is the first ever felt organ I’ve made, it was gifted to my sister.

You will start to see more from me soon and I’m looking forward to what this year has in store for Felt Sew Reel!
