Not many photos taken, but what a day it was! Recently broke my big Esky so could only fit a few smaller legal school mackerel and this beautiful sweet lip.

Ended up with 6 squid 7-8 mackerel and a bunch of smaller reef species which I released.

Overall a fun day and had a lovely feed of fish.

Well let's see what tomorrow brings.

Cracking on testing the waters with barramundi and threadfin this year. Just recently moved up to the Fraser Coast but been struggling to see fish on my sounder which brings me to a tip I learnt this week.

Running power cables along with your transducer cable can cause issues as electromagnet waves from the power cables have been known to cause distorted images.

After 10 years in army signals I'm surprised i never thought of it, separation was always a part of our planning when running power and data cables in the field.

Has anyone else fixed something similar to this and seen results? I'll update soon once I take the new setup for a spin. Feeling hopeful.
