This one will be extra special! Join Siang Lu (Miles Franklin Literary Award 2025 Winner) and Matthew Condon (award-winning journalist and the author of more than 18 works) as the two discuss their writing styles, inspirations and where to next. 📝

This event is being held at Brisbane Grammar School! Where the Wild Things Are Bookshop will have a pop up bookshop with all of Matthew's and Siang's books available. Doors open at 6.00pm, with both authors signing prior to the in-conversation, and the event runs 6.30-7.30pm.

Join us for the launch of the new middle grade novel from Anton Clifford-Motopi, Stuck in the Middle on Saturday 8 August, from 2pm ! 🐈🐈‍⬛

Anton will be in-conversation with Sophie Beer, chatting about Stuck in the Middle, his writing process and what it was like growing up in a big family.

Leon is having a bad time - his best friend Jacob has moved to Alaska, he's not allowed to look after Jacob's cat, he has to be a buddy to the weird new kid, and no one in his family listens to him. When Leon encourages his parents to help out the new kid, his problems get worse. Everyone in Leon's family seems to like Victor better than him. He tries to tell them how he's feeling, but how can a quiet person like Leon make himself heard in such a loud family?

Age recommendation: 8-12 yrs, but all are welcome. Secure your spot via the Wild Things website!
