Southside Guitars Brisbane Southside Guitars is an independent music shop thats buys and sells instruments, amplifiers and effects pedals. There is nothing too wild for us!

We have onsite technicians who handle everything from a simple restring to pickup replacements, rewiring, refretting and structural repairs. Welcome to Southside Guitars - a place where we do our best to make our store a safe and welcoming environment for everyone from the complete beginner through to the professional musician! We are a second-hand and new musical instrument store specialising in buying and re-selling musical instruments, electronics and audio related. We keep well over 300 used and new guitars in stock as well as ukuleles and a selection of used brass & woodwind instruments in stock. We also carry a healthy selection of used guitats effects pedals, guitar amplifiers and a studio rack gear and microphones. We do in-store trades as well as buy and sell and offer layby and now ZipPay. Looking to trade or sell? bring it in and we'll try our best to give you a great price or swap for something equally as awesome!

You don’t need to know how to play chords or read music to play an instrument FULL STOP

Don’t let what you think you can’t do get in the way of you picking up an instrument, because music at the end of the day only needs to be for your own enjoyment.

We have a bunch of mini synths in store for you to mess around with, as well as an Omnichord.

All you need for these instruments is fingers and even if you don’t have those I BET you could figure out how to play with your elbow or toes!

This is Mariana’s last week with us 😭

We’ll deeply miss her, but she’s moving onto her dream job and working directly in the Jazz scene which is something to celebrate!

Well here’s the super cut of today:

vidicolour played a 3 hour set, we had more records then we could count with a special cuts from Dolly Parton and Engelbert Humperdinck

Blind Boy Brewing also had a special appearance to rehydrate the crew (check them out, Dyslexic font + brail like truely is there an award for the most disability/neuro divergent friendly brand, they have my vote!)

Anyway that’s how it went, personally I got 6 records for $10 and literally who could actually beat that.
