Mumma's Beans Available in lower or no caffeine. When I fell pregnant, I was overwhelmed by all the information about what I could, and mainly, shouldn’t eat or drink.

Mumma's Beans Coffee is Australia's first low acid coffee, tailored for pregnant and breastfeeding mums, as well as coffee lovers with sensitivities to acidity and high caffeine in regular coffees. What if I told you there is a coffee that smells and tastes amazing, doesn't give you the coffee jitters and is organically grown here in Australia? A coffee that gives you the much needed burst of energy but that you don’t need to feel guilty about when enjoying it while you’re pregnant 🤰🏼 or breastfeeding🤱🏽? Even though the Australian Health Organisation advises about 200mg of caffeine a day (which means one to two coffees, depending on how you prepare it) are fine during pregnancy and while breastfeeding, I often still felt guilty drinking it. I know a lot of mummas don’t drink any coffee or only decaf just to be safe, but I looked forward to my daily cup so much. It was more than just drinking the coffee, it was allowing 5min for myself to take a break from working, folding the laundry or generally 😅

But I often still felt guilty having it. So with Mumma’s Beans, I wanted to create a product that wasn’t just ticking all the boxes of a high quality coffee that smelled and tasted amazing ☕️

I wanted a product that more mums would feel comfortable drinking while pregnant or breastfeeding, knowing it had about 20% less caffeine than regular coffee, and was grown organically without any pesticides or chemicals. This coffee is for you mummas 💓

Why even bother drinking Decaf? 🤔

If I can’t have (more) coffee, what’s the point?
Well… Decaf actually has most of the benefits of regular coffee, which are:

1. Lots of Antioxidants, fighting cell-damaging free radicals
2. Protecting your liver
3. Reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes
4. Supporting heart health
5. Reducing inflammation

Studies have shown lots of these benefits are only measurable when you have at least 2-3 cups a day ☕️☕️☕️

If that’s too much caffeine for you, you SHOULD bother and enjoy a cup of decaf to get the full effect.

Oh, just make sure your decaf is organic and decaffeinated using water not chemicals like Mumma’s Beans so no chemicals land in your cup, otherwise they might still be right, don’t bother 😉

Look what we discovered when we cleared some weeds to make space for planting our avocado seed 😍

That’s right, a coffee tree! We totally forgot about planting it about 5 years ago, and with all the things growing around it we didn’t even realise it was there 🤭

I’m not sure if we’ll actually try and make coffee from it, harvest to cup is quite an involved process.

For now, we’re just happy about the rediscovery of our tree in the garden, munching on the sweet red fruit and collecting the seeds just in case 😅
